Was flying back home. Needed to get a few more gallons of fuel. Got some fuel. Went to start my Cherokee back up and it was dead. Called the number since it had already closed. They called their IA and he came out asap. Got me fixed up. Thanks so much for the help. Then I ordered a new battery. Lol

Flew into 1A3 to meet up with friends for a golfing weekend in the mountains. What a great airport! Beautifully situated in the mountains and close to so many outdoor adventures. It's a small thing, but the fuel pump had the best hose reel that I've ever seen... No wrestling of the hose. Highly recommend this airport!

Great, well maintained airport with very helpful and friendly staff, best fuel prices around and everything needed for a quick turn or an extended stay.

I decided to make 1A3 a fuel stop while on a cross-country flight. I called ahead to make sure fuel was available since I would be getting there after hours. He called me back when I got there to thank me for stopping, and to ask if I needed anything else - while on his vacation in Florida. Neat little airport with excellent fuel prices!

Alan Frosch does a great job running this airport. Facilities are in first class condition, and Alan couldn't be more helpful or accommodating. Flew my Cirrus in for the eclipse and then stayed for another 5 days. Good fuel prices; I'll make 1A3 my preferred flyin location for North GA/East TN.

Outstanding little airport in the middle of a lot of Appalachian area outdoor activities, and best gas prices around. They rolled out the red carpet better than most hotels could. Absolutely top notch.

Flew into airport Oct 11. Had never been here before. It was easy to get in and out of. Beautiful airport. We stayed 7 days. Hospitality of Alan and Shawn was great. What a great airport and gas prices were great. If you are in this area don't miss the opportunity to stop in.

I landed here on 1/19/16 for fuel on a cross country from South Carolina to middle TN. The approach was beautiful coming in to 1A3 with a sleepy little town lying below. If you're debating whether or not to land here, you absolutely should. This is what GA is all about. 3500 ft of runway with a mountain at one end and a deep valley at the other. Use caution if you have no mountain flying experience. This one is not for the faint of heart in high winds. Gas pumps are new and excellent. After fueling I went to the lounge and found the door locked but a phone number on the door. Alan answered the phone with, "Hello Mr. Stockdale, welcome to Martin Campbell Field! I guess you're wondering how I knew your name. I've been watching you and that beautiful Archer since you pulled up to the pumps. I guess you'd like the door code to get to the lounge." This guy is former military and runs the airport like a well oiled machine. There is a mechanic on the field if you need one. A must stop!

I've been flying in and out of here for years. My wife and I flew in on Easter for a short stop and had engine issues when trying to leave. We called Alan he was very helpful, then Paul came then John came. John helped me get my engine started and we were on our way. For a small airport these guys have huge commitments to aviation and helping out a fellow pilot in need even on Easter.
