Flew up here for a joyride into the mountains from North Atlanta and for the much cheaper fuel. Service was great. Scenery was beautiful. The runway is being extended toward the west to 5000ft. Because of that the current runway length is down to about 3400ft. No problem for prop planes but turbine stuff needs to be aware.

Good ole' friendly service. Unicom informed me that friends were waiting at the picnic table and to taxi up to the FBO. He offered to fuel the plane and tow the plane to a tiedown. Facilities nice and clean. Relaxed atmosphere and very picturesque valley to land in. At 8/31/10/ 100LL was $4.48 for 38 gal. $10 overnight ramp parking.

Flew into Macon County for a weekend getaway with the wife. Neil and staff were extremely helpful. Renter car (Enterprise) was waiting for us at airport. Stayed at Balsam Mountain Inn, which was outstanding. Lots to do around Franklin area. Very friendly airport and great weekend destination.

We fly in here frequently and have always had great service. Very clean FBO. This past week we needed to have vehicle repairs done while away and Neil led us to a reputable local shop, took us back to the plane and arranged for our vehicle to be delivered back to the airport when fixed. His feelings regarding the service were summed up, as “We are not here to service customers but rather to make friends". Neil, Mike and the rest of the guys are the best!!! See you soon.

Stopped for fuel and was able to get a ride into town for lunch. This is a nice place to stop while crossing the mountains maybe a little less tricky than Andrews though still is buried enough to keep you interested. Great Mtn airport.

Very nice people and reasonable fuel prices. I echo the comment that they don't waive ramp fees even if you buy gas, but all in all a very good experience. This is a tricky airport surrounded by large hills, and I would not recommend flying into this place at night or in bad weather if you're not experienced with it.

Great approach into airport. Fuel reasonably priced but did not wave $10 overnight ramp fee.
