Nice airport as a economical alternative to KSTL. Both fuel and parking is fairly priced. Stayed overnight and the car was waiting for me. Try the casino for overnight. Was a great stay and the slots pay off! Watch the Class B IFR north departures. NO SID and STL approach is not very friendly for IFR even as you stay clear of the Class B until cleared.

This is a nice airport, I fly in several times a year. I'll echo a previous comment that this airport is extremely busy on weekends, particularly when the weather is nice. If you approach IFR from the east, expect vectors to the Cardinal VOR (right over Lambert Int'l), then a very quick decent to get down to traffic patter altitude at Creve Coeur. If you approach from the west, watch the class B airspace carefully as you must come very close to the inner 5-mile ring of Lambert to land at this airport. Staff will help you with the self-fuel pump on request or if available. You will be expected to park and tiedown yourself. This year I paid $8/day w/ fuel purchase. Airport is not fully gated, but during business hours I have seen staff query those without parking credentials on the ramp. That said I have never had a security issue at the airport.
