Had to make an unscheduled stop here for a mechanical issue. Tina the airport manager was a great help as was the whole crew at the full service A&P shop "Air Tec". Tina had either the lowest or next to lowest price 100LL gas in the state (no jet fuel) and a spectacular country view of the mountains. Home cooked bar-b-que in the hangar every other Saturday noon. Super stop for aircrews that like quiet, friendly places.

On July 19 I was told there is no longer MOGAS at Sandia Airpark. I wish I'd known this before I deviated out of my way to get it.

Spent some time getting checked out in a Robinson R44 at Rotorspins based on the field. The FBO and the helo training were excellent. Just a little windy for a March winter day in NM!

Andy was great with us...we called so he was around on Sunday...we had a problem with a door and he helped with some wire for it...but there is no transportation or lodging.

Great place! Good gas, very friendly. A nice place to stop and I hope to get the chance to stop there again!
