Flew in on 12/22/01 in our Piper Lance on our way back to Oklahoma from Disney World. Had to shoot the GPS approach due to bad weather. We landed and taxied up to the self service pump and got some of the cheap gas that I had read about on here. We went inside the FBO building (which was very nice and clean) and waited about 15 minutes for a squall line to pass over. Then we got back in the airplane and departed. I was very pleased with the facilities and if the need ever arises I will definitely stop here again.

Cheapest fuel around and clean, modern, friendly FBO. The nice young lady working even stayed beyond closing time for us so we could go get dinner (The Shrimp Basket is very good!). Be aware of some wind shear on the approach end of Runway 08 as you come over the trees. But, we'll definitely be back!

This has become my new airport to refuel in the south. Good fuel price, nice modern comfortable FBO, and an all female staff.

Stopped for fuel before the FBO opened and was surprised to find the owner already there doing a FOD check on the ramp. Bought fuel and was offered a warm bowl of banana pudding and choice of water or soda, made the trip back to Indiana more pleasant. Bring a biscuit for the new airport pup " Denver" or he will chew your shoestrings.

Bay Minette babes run an excellent operation. Cookies are fresh and the lemonade is a nice touch. Local accommodations in Bay Minette are not the worlds greatest but meet acceptable standards. We like the quick turns. Watch for the Navy trainers.

Great atmosphere, everyone should come visit the Ladies of Bay Minette Aviation. Get some fuel and lunch too. There is even a maintenance shop on the airport.

Quick, professional fuel service with a smile and a very nice FBO with all the amenities. The hotels in the area are not great, drive the extra 10 minutes to Daphne if staying overnight.

Stopped in on 11/12, it was a tie between the beautiful ladies and the gas price but the ladies pulled it out in the end when they told us that the price for full serve was going to be the same as the self serve since the pump was being worked on. Ate a delicious lunch at Theresa’s 10/10 and would encourage people to stop in at both places.

My wife and I flew in to Bay Minette from Pensacola on 25-Aug-10 to grab some dinner out in town. Crew car was available that evening, a Lincoln Towne Car. Someone mentioned they had Miatas, but was told they sold it awhile ago. For a small airport, the facility is top-notch, very relaxing, super-clean, and a friendly atmosphere.

The Bay Minnette airport is always a pleasure to fly into. All of the employees that I have met have always been friendly and professional. All employees have a general knowledge of all types of aircraft. The facilities are always clean and everyone there has a willingness to meet all the pilots need. Thanks!

Stopped in for fuel and lunch. Friendly service, good crew car. Check out Streets in Bay Minette for a good 'homecooked local' experience. You can't depend on the self-service machine. It wasn't working so we settled for full service (at full service prices).

I flew into Bay Minette yesterday at the advice of a friend who flies into the Mobile area often. My company has a good bit of work in the North Mobile area, so it seemed like a great place to stop. I have some pros and cons for Bay Minette, and the pros outweigh the cons. Pros: Very nice terminal building with rocking chairs. Great fuel prices. Decent crew/rental cars. Runway in good shape with GPS approaches to both ends. Cons: We were not marshaled into a tiedown spot, just an over the radio "put it somewhere on the east side" (Other aircraft throughout the day were guided in). Very cold reception by the "girls", not even so much as a "Hello, how are you doing today". I eventually got some help after the self-serve card reader was saying, "network connection error". Overall, the airport and facilities are very nice, but don't expect much hospitality unless you're getting full service or if you're a military flight.

Bay Minette is a fine FBO -- very prompt and complete line service. One thing to note is that neither the Jeppesen chart nor the AFD diagram shows the midfield ramp, which is where the FBO is. Both show only a ramp at the West end of the field - that is not the FBO. The midfield building is a couple of years old but the diagrams have not caught up yet.

Once again, these folks have given me the best of service. Several loaner cars, (Miatas), clean facility, and pretty attendants! Sun 'n Fun fuel prices were the lowest around. Don't pass this place up!

You have got to stop here! Aircraft are fueled for you (same price as self serve) by beautiful line girls, windscreens are cleaned, borrowed one of several courtesy cars for short trip to town and had excellent Mexican food. The line girls also have made a very interesting Calendar featuring them. Don't miss this one.
