Peggy Small has provided upgrades in service and security including a combination activated main entry gate (after hours), a remodeled office, pilot lounge and restroom, and has added interior lighting and electrical power to all 40 hangars. Stockmar Airport has never looked or operated better... Check it out and you'll agree.

Stockmar Airport is very Helicopter Friendly. I was disappointed with area airports when I was looking for a hangar for my helicopter. Stockmar is great, no hassle and no paranoia... They host a Med Evac helicopter site as well, which makes helicopter operations here very NORMAL.

What a treat to find 20GA and Peggy Small. THE fuel stop for a visit to Atlanta. Peggy loaned me a raincoat and held my ladder in a downpour. Snacks in the FBO on the honor system, and Enterprise will pick you up with a rental if you arrive by about 5PM. The drive to downtown Atlanta is about 30 minutes in normal traffic. Call Atlanta departure by phone for your IFR clearance; Lockheed Martin's a little confused about Stockmar.

Hey this is a great place in the west Atlanta area to stop, take a break and fuel up. YOU DON'T NEED PERMISSION to land here either. Peggy was very accommodating, even helping with luggage from my wife and 2 year old. Stop here, you won't regret it.

Peggy is great. The pump is operational again - best price within hundreds of miles. Easy to get in and out of the airport (I am still a student and don't have any issues even in solo). This is where I will get all of my fuel from now on.

I like the setting and the convenience of this airport, but I landed here today for fuel and the fuel pump was inoperative. Another airplane landed while I was setting up to fuel my airplane and stated that the fuel pump was not working yesterday. I would have appreciated seeing a sign on the pump before I shut down. With a twin, I sure did not need to make a fuel stop and not be able to purchase fuel. I went to another airport.
Response from Peggy Small, Manager, Flying S Aviation All Pilots: Please call ahead 770-459-5145. We have been having fuel pump issues. Thanks for your business.

Stopped in last week for a good deal on some gas. Peggy met us on the ramp and helped us fuel up. She is the best! Nice runway, friendly folks, low price fuel... Great stop! Will definitely be back.

It is a very clean nice looking airport with friendly people running it. This is the way general aviation is supposed to be. Peggy was very helpful, even though it was self-serve. I will be returning often. Thank you!

Stockmar is a great place to stop to socialize and get fuel. They have a new self-service fuel pump at the southeast corner just off of the runway. Peggy Small is the manager and she is very helpful. Contrary to the information on the main AirNav site, prior approval to land is not required, but if in doubt, call Peggy ahead of your arrival. She can also update you on fuel availability. The runway has been expanded to 4500 X 50 feet and now has pilot controlled lighting adjustable over the multicom frequency (122.9). Peggy is working on updating the airport information on AirNav and with the FAA.

Stopped at Stockmar around 6:00 in the evening, didn't leave until near 10:30 PM. Peggy Small took me to get something to eat while my boss attended to his business. The airport has an interesting history from a number of points of view. The new runway and lights are great and the place is neat and clean. Everyone was real friendly and helpful. They have hangars for rent if you're moving to the ATL area.

I stopped there yesterday to see if I could get permission to land next Tuesday. This would keep me from having to fly to Carrollton and renting a car to drive to Villa Rica. Peggy Small is the manager and even though they are private they welcome guests. Hangers are available for $250 a month and 100LL is $3.60 a gallon. Everyone there is very friendly!
