I used Shafer Flying Service to complete my private. Mike Smith is an excellent instructor. Just want to say thanks so much to everyone there from Ed the owner to Phil the mechanic for making my journey from student to pilot a great experience.

We flew in to get a tail wheel at Wicks aircraft supply, only 5 miles away. When we landed Mr. Shafer and Phil the resident mechanic greeted us. They gave us their van instead of waiting for a ride. After we got back we enjoyed a chat with a couple of down to earth people who make aviation a pleasure.
