Cool grass strip -- a must-see for grass strip and GA enthusiasts. Good facility with good instruction and several aircraft for rent including a Champ.

LOVED my Experience there - great for general aviation! I actually flew in to Madison County Executive Airport (KMDQ) a few miles away and kept my plane parked there while visiting friends over the weekend (good place too). But while in town, I learned of a Fly-In Breakfast at Moontown, which is held the third Saturday of every month. So, Saturday morning, May 17, 2008, my friend and left the wives at the house, and made the quick trip to Moontown from KMDQ. Moontown was initially fogged in, but I was impressed with how well the staff runs the place. Even with the high volume of traffic this day, the airport had a mid-field traffic coordinator, which made the experience at this turf field safe, and not like a "fly-in free-for-all." The breakfast was great and only $5. The fuel was relatively inexpensive, $4.65 a gallon. No ramp fees. I will be back here when I can.
