Be careful when taxiing because there are cats and dogs running around (tried to pet one and it ran away from me). Runway is very narrow though. But in all this airport is great!   From Jim Simmons on 04-Aug-2006 I blew a nose gear strut o-ring in Tulsa, OK on my way to Eastern Ohio and several phone calls later I got a reference to call Bob Norman at Parr Airport. He had the o-ring kit and would rebuild my strut if I could get there. Weather slowed me down and I arrived at 5:00 PM on Saturday. Bob was ready to go out for dinner with his family but took the time to fix my plane while his family waited on us. I left Sunday morning for Oshkosh as planned thanks to Bob and his patient family. If you are ever in the area make a fuel stop at this very interesting airport and support a family that is a real friend to aviators!   From Bruce Billedeaux on 18-Jul-2006 Stopped at Parr because of business in Dresden (6 mi north). Wonderful service even washed the windshield. Old time airport, shade trees, cats and a dog. The narrow runway is a bit intimidating but very easy to land on. Highly suggest stopping by. Courtesy car even has A/C.
