Had to use 48D to retrieve my wife's purse from a local restaurant, was so nice knowing it was easy to get the crew car to get to town (and eat supper while there). Great facility and fuel price. Thx

Stopped in on August 4, 2018, a Great facility, clean, even has a shower with towels provided for transients. Used the courtesy van to go a short distance into town. Fuel price is the lowest I have seen in Michigan in a long time. Will definitely return.

Great airport! Free popcorn, ice cream in the freezer (home-made), nice lounge area, bathroom with shower, courtesy car and cheap fuel to boot! I met some friendly local pilots who fueled up before I did and then drove over in their van as I was finishing up and asked if we needed any help or a ride. Clearly Clare is the place to stop in central MI.

Not a lot of service. It is generally not staffed. But the fuel price is the best around. I routinely stop on my way to 4Y4 (Lakes of the North) and top all the tanks. Tankering all I can back to TDZ. They have a courtesy van to go in to town. The facility is clean with snacks and water. I save enough on fuel in the Aztec, that I can drive in to town and have dinner with the family at the Doherty hotel! A great stop for Lunch or Dinner.

First time into Clare Municipal. I was in on a business trip to talk to a client in a nearby town about Medicare. I was able to use the courtesy car, which is provided by the airport association. It was clean and well maintained. I fly into a lot of airports in Michigan.. This one is well within the top ten. Clean and spacious FBO. They have tie down ropes and chokes available. They even have a pair of work gloves at the self-serve fuel pumps...Where the gas is cheap. I talked with Gary for a moment...Nice guy. On the way back, I stopped at Cops and Doughnuts. Got a picture of a Clare City Cop standing out front. Inside the help are known as inmate and dressed in orange T's. They have a restaurant next door too. Ya..Gotta go. Great airport and a great little town. Stop here for gas and grub.

This is a great airport! Clean, Friendly and helpful. We flew on our way home from a long weekend North of Clare. We were able to go to town for lunch. The airport and the town are top notch. We recommend stopping by for a visit. You will not regret it!

An unexpected stop found low fuel prices and a small well equipped FBO attended by a very friendly and welcoming manager. Crew car, ice cream and popcorn; how can you miss!!

Clean. Low fuel price. Great airport manager who is often present. Courtesy car. Shower. Ice cream. Everything I need and more right in the middle of the state. Great fuel stop.

June 17, 2016 we were here 10 years ago on our way to upstate New York for my high school reunion. I am happy to report the service, fuel prices and free ice cream are still in place. :)

Some of the lowest price gas in the state. Nobody was home at the terminal on Easter Sunday, but there was free ice cream in the freezer. Free water in the fridge and they left the keys to the courtesy car on the counter! That's trust and hospitality. Thank you, 48D! I'll be back.
