Best fuel price I have seen in the states. Bathrooms are porta-poppies, but very clean. Nice runway, just watch out for the tower to the south. No vending machines, so pack a snack.

From Rob Hoyle on 11-Mar-2008
Friendly people at an otherwise desolate place. As others have said, the PVC works great. Cheap Gas! Could have used a vending machine or something along those lines, but next time I'll just pack a snack!

Great fuel stop! Stopped here en route to KAUS and it was a perfect stop. Fuel prices are low and I was in and out it 30 minutes. The only thing missing was food in the vending machine area. After a 4-hour flight, I really could have used a Snickers bar!

Great fuel stop. Self serve pump that takes most credit cards (including AMEX).

Stopped at this FBO on a business trip. Very nice folks and excellent fuel price. Best I have found lately. Highly recommend this as a fuel stop if you are in the area.

Great airport and fuel stop. Landed here on the way back from Jackson, MS to the DFW area. Facilities were beautifully maintained, the runway and ramp look brand new and fuel was the cheapest on the trip.

From Kevin Ross on 20-Apr-2006
Outstanding fuel stop. Beautiful superbly maintained airport. Best fuel prices around, always. Quick in and out self-serve. Computer accessed weather radar in clean terminal with clean restrooms. Friendly folks.

Like the inexpensive fuel, nice facilities, PVC, and fresh paving!

From Phil Gustafson on 18-Mar-2006
Best fuel price I could find between Austin, TX and Asheville, NC. Pump was easy to use and facility was nice. Easy in and out. Who ever came up with the PVC covering on the fuel hose - Brilliant!

From Randy Bremmer on 14-Jan-2006
Good, clean, functional. A pleasant place to stop. Lots of space indoors to eat, relax, and flight plan. Staff is there to help if you need them, or stay out of the way if you don't. Recommended.

As stated before, this place is worth the stop. Nice runway, fuel pumps and Restrooms, even after hours. Keep up the good work!!!

Check NOTAMS for ramp closure and fuel availability. On 25 November, 2005, was notified by Shreveport approach enroute to 4F2 that the ramp was closed and fuel was unavailable. Landed at Center Texas, F17 instead, 20 miles or so south of 4F2.

From Denny Seal on 23-Nov-2005
Flew in yesterday (22Nov05) from SHV and was greeted with friendly person who works at 4F2. Although SS @ $2.75 he was nice enough to help. Runways recently surfaced and now resurfacing taxiway. PVC set-up is very 'ergonomic'.

From Gary Hendricks on 20-Nov-2005
Landed to refuel on 11-19-05 to find all taxiways being resurfaced. Only option would have been to taxi over crushed rock that had not be oiled or rolled. Turned around on the runway and departed. There was no notice provided via notams. This is normally a great stop, but not today.

From Ray Hanson on 19-Aug-2005
Totally cheap SS well done, but we got stuck there on weekend without any transportation or lodging. Do have a FSS phone, coke machine, candy, coffee in access indoor area. A great cheap fuel stop only if it's a weekend.
