Nothing fancy, but with fuel at this price I would pee in the field. During the day I had no trouble getting to the indoor toilets. Also they have clean portajohns.

Great landing surface. Quiet at night, with deer prancing on runway, but easily shooed off. Pumps have very long, well-protected hoses. Clean.

Great cheap and fast fuel stop. Not much else there - but who cares with this price of fuel.

X-Country from Jackson, MS to Alpine, TX. Using AirNav's Fuel Planner planned a stop at Panola County/Carthage for inexpensive fuel, stretch legs & bathroom break. Arrived 10:15 a.M., Fri., Nov 6. "Severe Clear, " beautiful VFR WX. My pax & I wanted a snack/drink. Terminal Building locked up; no one there to let us have access to vending/drink machines which we could see through the window. What good are the vending/drink machines if they're locked up? Used Porta-Pottie. Drank water from a garden hose by the chain-link fence. Needless to say, after such a "bush-league" operation, and enough fuel already on board, we flew on to Brownwood, TX for refueling. C'mon Panola County! Are you going to run an airport or not?

Stopped Sunday afternoon Oct 24, 2009 and found everything the same as previously reported: did not see anyone, pump worked fine but no receipt available and the card reader screen is in the afternoon sun and hard to read, gas still $2.95/gal (unbelievable), porta-potties had just been serviced, runway in good shape. A good quick-turn stop.

Stopped in here on a Sunday, airport was unattended. Fuel price was as advertised. Good for a quick turn if you don't need any amenities, I could list what they don't have but it is easier to list what they do provide: Port-a-potties and cheap gas.

Great little airport brought two passengers down for an afternoon meeting. John gave me a ride to town and back to the airport so I could grab a sandwich. Glad he was there or I would have been eating lunch out of a vending machine, they really need a courtesy car. Thanks for the ride John.
