Enroute from KSBN to I91 and lost all radios due to failed alternator. Landed to check things out. FBO was outstanding. Doug from the FBO came out on a Sunday afternoon on his day off to help charge the battery and get us on our way home. Great restaurant to eat right at the field. Will stop here again for lunch on my next trip to KSBN.

Cool FBO. They have 12 hotel suites above the office building but unfortunately they were booked. They were very accommodating in getting the local hotel and shuttle service available to us. Fueled us up the night before, so we were ready to go to beat the severe weather! Thanks Dixie Chopper Air!

Stopped in during our long cross country flight. Had a nice meal at the restaurant and were delighted with the wait staff--very attentive. The line guy was terrific as well, refueled us quickly and with a friendly attitude. We had planned on spending the night, but after our experience with the "owner's brother from Florida" we packed it up and continued to a more courteous stop over point. "The Brother" was obnoxious, crude and rude. Too bad - we had an otherwise nice experience, but that guy was obviously not an active member of the aviation community and if he is, he's the only one we've met with such a bad attitude in the nearly 20yrs of flying all over this country, Canada and Mexico.

I have enjoyed several meals at the 'Final Approach" restaurant. It is open until 10PM during the week, but call FBO to verify. You can park immediately in front for a very short walk.

Stopped in on 3/27/10, one of the best airport restaurants I've ever been to. Service was great, food was extremely good value and of great quality. Looks like the locals come to this place quite a bit (good sign!), as there was only one other transient plane there when we were there. Was surprised the fuel farm wasn't self-serve, (FBO staff have to run your card inside) but staff was helpful in helping us fuel and pay quickly. Will be back many more times.

Stopped for lunch today. One of the best airport restaurants I've frequented. Breaded pork tenderloin sandwich was fantastic, and chocolate chip cheesecake was out of this world!

I rent a DA-20 and DA-40 here regularly. This is a great bunch of folks; they work hard to take care of your aviation needs. They have a nice restaurant and hotel. I last flew their DA40 on June 9-11; well maintained and ready to fly when I got to the airport.
