I recently visited this airport and used the wonderful courtesy car, which was clean and full of fuel, by the way. At that time I was notified by the FBO that the fuel pump was down for service and would not be operational until this Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at 5 pm.. So very kind of the FBO to let me know that, so I thought I would let everyone else know too. Very nice pilot lounge and good snacks.... Thanks also they have an airport dog that hangs around sometimes his name is Leroy...Nice little fellow..

Remove the spider webs and fix the fuel pump. I went out of my way to buy fuel there and the pump is broken. Nice lounge by the way.

A nice place to fly into - they completely remodeled their airport lounge along with adding a real brick front and adding a porch to match the quaint motif of their downtown businesses. The lounge is well equipped with a pilot's room, Internet, restrooms, wetbar/coffee area along with nice seating throughout the lounge...Like someone's living room! They even have a crewcar, so that you can go downtown and visit one of the local restaurants. Amici's is one of our favorite's...Outstanding pizza. The next-door antique store is amazing with alot of Civil war items - rifles, items of that period, etc. The City of Madison is called the MAYBERRY of Georgia. Enjoy a day or weekend, in this special town!!

Arrived this evening to find sign on 100LL pump: "no gas". No soul apparent at the airport. But, courtesy car available. Nice dinner in town.

I have to say that Madison is a pretty 'cool' airport. It is not full of people, very little in fact. Chances are that no one will be around upon your arrival, and you can tie down your airplane yourself. Being pampered by linemen is nice, but flying into Madison is like flying into your own little airport where you take care of your bird all by yourself. It’s almost like you own the airport yourself! Sure the receipt printer doesn't work, just write the numbers down yourself. A really neat place, Georgia's 'secret'.

We stopped in for fuel on June 14, 2007, fuel prices were as advertised and the self-serve pump works fine. What ya don't hear enough about is how great the folks at the airport treat visitors. If you are on the east side of Atlanta, or even if you aren't, it's worth your time to stop in, fuel up, and maybe enjoy some of the local hospitality!

Had checked the local fuel prices around Atlanta and found that Madison had one of the lowest prices on the east side. Pleasant surprise as the airport has a new 27/7 self-serve fuel tank setup with great pricing...Yes.... $3.75 includes tax. With some of the Atlanta airports charging over $6.00 per gallon...These prices will draw some business. Thanks-

The airport has new flowmaster pump installed for 24/7 operation. Worked good. Runway has been widened so it is easy to do a 180 on runway.
