Ditto to what everybody else said. Ray helped put my airplane in the community hangar, showed me the procedures for ingress end egress, helped offload bags on arrival and load up on my way out and more. Surfaces had just been resealed and striped, etc etc. This is the kind of small private airport that makes flying special and deserves to be supported.

Just got back from visiting my brother in Le Roy and I can't say enough about Ray Detor and his airport. From the looks of his airport, Ray must be a perfectionist. He is also a really nice guy. I called in advance and he gave me all the info about the airport, as well as helpful pointers about the self-service fuel and tie downs. Great place to refuel and take a break.

I have been based at this field for nearly six years. From the moment I first talked with Ray Detor, I knew this would be a good home for my airplane and me. Ray is passionate about his airport, has made many improvements over the years, and is quite responsive to the needs of tenants and transients alike.

Stopped by with Bell 47 helicopter to fuel up on way home, Self serve fuel was fairly priced and easy to get to, airport was clean, pumps and hose in good working condition, owner of airport came out to visit and offered a free bottle of water on a hot day.

Flew in July 2 and there is no better service in the ROC area than Ray Detor provides at Le Roy..... Good fuel prices, great tie-down or hangar availability and friendly, caring, service from someone who has spent his life in aviation. He should be training other FBO's. We'll be back!

I wish this airport was in Virginia. Ray Detor runs one of the finest airfields we've ever visited. The field is absolutely immaculate. The updated and extended runway is superb, all navaids are up and running perfectly, and the gas is very reasonably priced. Ray has always been extremely friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Overnight tie downs or hangar space has always been available whenever we needed it. Where else can you find an FBO owner/operator who cares so much about his airfield and about his customers and the all important "customer experience".

This airport is awesome. I'm working in central NY and on weekends look for places to fly. From Ithaca to LeRoy is a short flight in the Mooney and this airport is easy to find and a very nice runway and taxiways. The fuel is setup very easy and the prices are on average. But think about this. The airport owner is a pilot and this is his FBO. The pride that is involved in this makes it a stopover for anyone because you know that you will be treated very well. The airport is very safe due to a good security system and a fence around it. There is no chance for wild creatures humans/animals to be roaming on the runway. I wish we had airports like this in Vermont.

What a fantastic airport. I have never seen a privately owned airport that is maintained in such magnificent shape. Ray is a great guy and an invaluable asset to the general aviation community. I wish we had more people that were as passionate about flying as Ray!!! Keep up the good work. Thank you for making your private airport available to the public GA ranks.

We flew in the past weekend to pick up some passengers and were greeted with friendly service from the owner. Great to fly into a nice field with nice people. We will be returning. Thanks again!

Was there back in May for a couple of hours and went back to stay overnight on this trip. No problems at all getting gas or tied down. Contacted Ray prior to the trip and got all the necessary information for getting on and off the field. Would stop again.

Flew in to visit a friend and his family. Wonderful fuel stop. Made a bunch of flights to give him and his kids rides to see the Avon area from the air. Facilities were great. Contacted Ray via phone to verify the ins and outs of getting on and off the field. He was very helpful and called back to make sure I had no problems. Would certainly stop here again.

Great fuel stop off if you are fly along Lake Ontario. Just outside of Rochester and not far from Buffalo,,, Good self-serve and friendly owner who rightfully takes pride in his airport
