Flew out to Pik n Pig yesterday for some BBQ. Had to find out for myself what it was all about and I am glad I did. Ideal setup for a fly-in lunch/dinner. We were seated under the covered patio about 200' from runway centerline. Grassy area on restaurant side toward the runway 31 end for aircraft parking and CTAF is 122.9. This place didn’t show up on my GPS but can be found by tracking the 049 outbound radial for about 10 mi. Off of SDZ VOR. I will definitely be back to Pik N Pig for another great meal.

Ask for the BBQ sundae for a real treat (it's not on the menu but they'll make it for you). By the way, this is NC, we don't "pull" pork here.

Excellent BBQ place. The menu was not broad, but the food was excellent. Pulled pork or smoked chicken. Great sides and deserts too. Well worth your time.

The perfect place for the $100 "sandwich", pulled pork!! This place was packed thursday @ 2pm. Great place and being able to sit out side close to the runway a plus.

First time to 5NC3. The Pik-N-Pig BBQ restaurant at the center of the field has a rather limited menu but BBQ pork and smoked chicken were excellent. The deserts cannot be beat. I now understand why we had to wait for a table inside. For warmer weather, there are covered tables with a great view of the runway. We will be back.

Take my dad to lunch, flying from KEKY. I called ahead just to make sure and was told, "come on! and bring a crowd! and don't call ahead next time." The food was fantastic, the people were great! Definitely a fun way to get cross-country credit and the $100 hamburger (or pulled pork sandwich). Watch out for the cross-wind when you get above the trees!

Great place for that $100 hamburger! The Pik-N-Pig serves some of the best-pulled pork BBQ I've ever enjoyed. Added plus is that the outdoor dining area is now covered. Bring your golf clubs--a driving range is right next to the restaurant and taxiway.

Great food and service at the Pik-N-Pig, right next to the runway. Much better than the typical "airport cafe". However, after landing, I discovered they don't take credit or debit cards there. Not really a problem, and the food is very reasonably priced, but I'm so used to using plastic, I don't always carry much cash. Double check that you have cash before heading in.
