Had a death in the family in the Wall area, this summer. We had short notice to attend the Funeral in Kadoka (40 Miles) we flew into Wall. No one could have been more kind and helpful than Mr. Hahn. Even let us use his truck. Of course we called ahead and made arrangements. Thanks again.

The airport is unattended. "Air Hon" is just one guy (Dave) and his private fuel supply (located inside his hangar). Dave will sell you some of his fuel if you call ahead. He was incredibly helpful, providing a "crew car" so we could drive to one of the local motels and the Badlands National Park. A neat little town and a fuel stop we will always remember!

Call ahead and fuel can be arranged. Dave is a great guy and will really help you in any way. He left his pick up for me so I would have transportation. Nearby Anne's Motel was perfect and within an easy walk of Wall Drug and several eating establishments. Good Stop for a visit to nearby Badlands National Park.

Stopped on Jun 30 enroute from PHF to OAK in a C-172; we had the very same experience Larry Preuss reported. We had called ahead and the Mayor met us at the airport, filled our fuel tanks, handed us the keys to the crew car (a vintage VW in -great- condition), and wished us a good time. Which is what we enjoyed.

Wall is a fun little town to visit, and the airport is well maintained, and run by a very friendly and helpful manager (who is also the town's mayor!) The airport is an easy walk to the famous Wall Drug and the other downtown business. The hotel/motel area is about 1.5 miles from the airport. The airport manager offered a car, and all the information I needed to find my way around. Located just north of the South Dakota Badlands, it is a great place to visit. Avgas is not readily available, but apparently arrangements can be made.

Fuel is kept in a private hanger and you must call ahead to get service. A happy customer.

Stopped here for fuel on the way back from Oshkosh to San Jose, CA. I did not see any Air Hon sign. I did not see any fuel pump, so I asked a local. He said there was no gas available. I had fly to Rapid City for gas.
