Great little airport within walking distance of Main Street (Wall Drug - attraction unto itself, restaurants, etc). Stayed at Ann's motel just down the road, which has very reasonable rates, family atmosphere, and very clean rooms. About 10-minute walk, but they will gladly pick up if you have baggage, too.

We had our annual nationwide fly-in get together in Spearfish from 6-24 thru 6-28. We flew to Wall for lunch after our geo tour. We were met by the mayor with cold soft drinks. We walked to Wall Drugs, but the mayor brought back a bunch of us in his pickup. Took care of one of our disabled aircraft overnight...Parked it in one of his hangars. Really a great little airport, friendly and anxious to satisfy.

Dave was there to greet us when we arrived! Call ahead and fuel can be arranged. Dave is a great guy and will really help you in any way. Nearby Anne's Motel was perfect. Great hosts! Anne's is within an easy walk to Wall Drug and Red Rock and several eating establishments. Good Stop for a visit to nearby Badlands National Park or Minuteman Missile National Historic Site. Minuteman Missile includes the launch control facility and Minuteman Missile emplaced in its silo. Both are well worth the visit! I'll be back.

This was a great stop. We called Dave on arrival and he helped us fuel up from his hangar. He gave us the keeps to his pickup so we had transportation.

Had a death in the family in the Wall area, this summer. We had short notice to attend the Funeral in Kadoka (40 Miles) we flew into Wall. No one could have been more kind and helpful than Mr. Hahn. Even let us use his truck. Of course we called ahead and made arrangements. Thanks again.

The airport is unattended. "Air Hon" is just one guy (Dave) and his private fuel supply (located inside his hangar). Dave will sell you some of his fuel if you call ahead. He was incredibly helpful, providing a "crew car" so we could drive to one of the local motels and the Badlands National Park. A neat little town and a fuel stop we will always remember!
