Very hospitable. Bob, the airport manager made me feel very welcomed by providing a crew car and a great La-Z-Boy recliner to nap in. The crew car has the gate code and this is soon to become a towered Class D airport.

I am based at 7V6 and I can never get the fuel pump to work after hours.

Good stop, with one exception. They have a courtesy van and the town has a few places to eat that are very close. But the gate code isn't published anywhere in the (unattended on a Saturday anyway) building. Most places I've been to either have it on the wall inside, or on the inside of the gate, or a "clue" like "it's the AWOS frequency". Here we had to call a number and someone was sent out from town to open it for us. Took about 10 minutes. Unusual, and inconvenient. Lunch at the River View was good, and the gas price was too.

Good courtesy van available to local motels & 100LL, reasonable price. We suggest a 'help' poster to assist occasional visitors, re, key-lock code, local motels, and telephone numbers. Also a small visitor logbook would let management know the visitor traffic frequency. The local sights are worth a visit and most are under 2-mi. It's a worthwhile stopover for cross-country flights.

Probably a great fuel stop most of the time. The pumps were out of service last week for maintenance, so make sure you call ahead to see if they are operating. I went to Torrington for fuel instead. They do have a courtesy car there for drop-ins to use. It is a retired Police car that you have to jimmy with the ignition to get it to work. Enjoyed the local scenery-Register Cliff, the Wagon rut trails and more. All free and close to the airport! One hour could do the whole place, not including a lunch. Thanks!Response from Leslie Zynda, Town of Guernsey Just a reminder that our Fuel Tanks are back up and running. New fuel lines were installed and things are running great. Stop by and visit us soon! Thank you for your patience and have a safe flight!

Good place to stop. Fuel Island has two pumps, northeast pump is inop. Little confusing how the pumps are numbered, follow the directions on the Self-Serve screen. Advisory services still being provided by the military tower, although to those of us in civvie planes it's still an "uncontrolled" airport.
