Stopped for fuel June 25, 2008. Pump worked well and facilities were clean and available. There is not yet a "tower", but the military does provide what they refer to as a full time advisory service. Upon questioning, I was informed it will soon be a full-fledged tower and that they will be getting class D airspace designation.

Our unit had two crews stay at Camp Guernsey for one week. The part time tower provided great service Monday thru Friday. Controllers helped keep aircrews honest by knowing which Restricted Areas nearby were off limits throughout the week.

I have read the response from the town of Guernsey, and I used to stop at Guernsey quite often, until Gary left. I stopped the other day to check it out, and did not see any improvements or any construction that Leslie talked about. Basically they are not doing a thing except letting it go to pot. Won't be stopping here any longer

Bill Simpkins is correct; the City of Guernsey is now running the civilian ramp, including fuel sales. The price is no longer cheap, but the airport is well maintained with clean facilities. The credit card machine didn't work on the self-service pump, but the city sent a very pleasant worker out to try and fix it. When that failed, he allowed us to pay for the fuel by credit card over the phone. If you stop for a meal, try the Riverside Cafe on the west side of town and a block south of the Hwy 26.
Response from Leslie Zynda, Town of Guernsey We would like to extend our apologies while we are under construction. As the Guernsey Airport may not be run by an FBO at this time, we are still striving to keep the Airport in a comfortable and safe environment for everyone that visits. Please give a chance to finish our "Construction" period and hope that this will not cause any disruptions in your flight. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon! Town of Guernsey

Flew in the other day, and the place was abandoned, grass dying, door to parking lot locked from outside, door to the office wide open and looked like someone kicked it in. This used to be my favorite stop, but don't know anymore. Talked with a person there and found out the town kicked out the operator for the FBO and locked up all his stuff. Gary kept that place clean, and looking good and would do anything for anyone at anytime. For all of that the town threw him out. Not going to be my stop any more.

Clean quiet spot. I've never waited for even one other aircraft. These guys support GA with the lowest fuel price in the country that I'm aware of. Beware of high-density altitude conditions on warm days. Helpful tower open part time.

Great little FBO. SS gas was the cheapest I've seen in a year or two. The tower is even manned and giving out advisories. I highly recommend this airport as a stop.

Came through on a Sunday and I was expecting to do self-service, so it was a pleasant surprise to find the manager there pumping the gas. Probably the best stop between Chicago and Salt Lake City as far as fuel prices goes! Nice clean and neat FBO office also. This has been my regular fuel stop for years on long trips to the west coast.

Great Fuel Price! Best Deal around. Self Service but hey, for that price, no problem. No one around on a Saturday morning.

Friendly FBO. Unexpectedly put down here to wait out weather and ended up staying the night. Unbelievable fuel prices and they were willing to lend me the car overnight to do some sight seeing. Oregon trail landmarks are very close by. Great place to stop.

This is a most delightful place to land on your long cross contry flight. We stopped here on the way back from Oshkosh for gas (best deal around). On takeoff my son pointed out the Wagon ruts of the Oregon trail on Register Cliff right off our wing tips. Next time we come this way we will stay a day or two and maybe float down the Platt river on inner tubes for a few miles.

Location and use of pump is a little awkward for heavy airplanes but is a great place to stop, has unusual "advisory" tower in place. I'll stop here again for fuel (this is the second time I've used 7V6). Always-good price and good "terminal" building. Friendly people, airport is in excellent condition. Watch out for crosswinds.

Excellent customer service from FBO operator. They have the best price on fuel that I have seen anywhere in that area. To top off the experience, no PPR is needed to get in there. Thank you!

Great place to stop for gas and overnight. Operator is very helpful. However, call before or check NOTAMS as sometimes out of fuel.

Stopped here on our way to Oshkosh from SoCal. Great airport (had 2 C130s waiting to take off when I touched down), great FBO (very quiet), very fair fuel prices. While waiting for weather to break the next morning, got an oil change done by the FBO owner who charged me just for the oil and filter. Highly recommended.
