Willard was halfway along my trip and had cheap fuel, so it made a logical stop, but I'm glad I ended up there! It's always nice to go someplace where you can tell the guy on the other side of the desk likes aviation as much as you do. There's a good-looking R/C jet inside. Just be forewarned, fuel is cash (not check, CASH) only and they do not monitor Unicom, but it's well worth the stop.

Flew in and found great service and cheap fuel. Met the nicest airport manager around, he came out with a ladder and would have fueled the plane for me, very helpful! Put on 40 gallons and left within 20 minutes, great service! It is CASH only but for the price, I will be back.

Landed here in a strong northerly crosswind on a Saturday at 11am, only to find a sign on the pump that read "Cash Only" and the pilot's lounge locked. If you fly in, call ahead and bring plenty of cash.

What a GREAT place! I flew in 9/1/05 for an Angel Flight drop off. When I pulled up to the pump the proprietor was there ready to fuel me; however he cautioned that he took cash only. Then he told me the price was $2.75. This was on a day that I passed prices over $3 for regular car gas on the way to the airport. He said the price reflected his cost when he bought the gas in the tank 2 months ago. He said the price will probably go up when he gets his next load. WHAT A CONCEPT in an age when most people are using the situation to rape the public. Fly into this airport at your earliest convenience if just to shake hands with a guy of such honesty and integrity.

Good runways, hotels and food nearby within walking distance, friendly town. Dick Chambers is as good and honest as it gets, and he offers the best fuel prices around to boot! Don't forget, though: cash only, but well worth the savings.

Stopped twice on my way to and from Pennsylvania. Nice quiet little airport. Cheap gas! Friendly service. Restroom was a little musty, though. I'm glad my wife wasn't along.
