Good people and a great stay for Easter weekend. Brought my own tie-downs after reading previous comments, so I was not surprised. Had them top me off with the truck on day one and then later used the SS pumps after some local sightseeing. Both were quick and easy.

Flew in on 2 Sep 2011 after business hours and tried to find tiedowns. There were several spots open, only 2 had tiedowns that were deteriorated beyond usable. The ramp was very nice and spacious, but I had to go to Walmart to purchase truck tiedown devices. No chocks, either. Would have been nice if Covington had mentioned needing my own chocks or tiedowns, as the phone call that was made a few days prior mentioned nothing except that there was room to park over night. Showed the next day, the guy behind the desk was very nice, but provided no explanation as to the lack of tiedowns. I guess this is what is to be expected when a county runs an airport. Although, I've received excellent service at other county run airports.

Exceptional service..... Stayed overnight on 4-15-11, severe storms moved into the area. The FBO's employees went way out of their way (after hours) to make sure my plane moved into a hangar and protected from the forecasted hail. It was very much appreciated!

Just bought fuel from the self-service kiosk/tank farm. Great price! Very convenient: right off the taxiway, plenty of room to maneuver, credit card kiosk very easy to work. Only drawback was that the spring on the hose reel is sprung, so I had to manually roll the hose back onto the reel. No big deal while wearing my old coveralls; might be a different story if I was in suit and tie.

I frequently fly into Covington airport from Maryland. In the last trip I learned they where under new management. What a nice change. They assisted me throughout the self serve fueling and where very friendly. The new lower price for 100LL is great. I arrived at night and the ramp was all dark. They should leave some lights on for after dark arrivals. Overall nice experience.Response from Rusty Anglin, Airport Supervisor, Covington Municipal Airport For runway lights click 5 times slowly with 1 second between clicks.

As of 12/18/10 the Covington Airport is under the management of the City of Covington. They are really focusing on customer service and airport improvement. Fuel prices are the lowest in the area. Service is excellent. Drop by and give the new management a try.
