Not a very useful stop for transient traffic. FBO staff weren't willing to accommodate an after hours arrival and more expensive self service 100LL than full service at MSN. My next trip to the Madison area will not involve landing at Middleton.

My experience with Morey was very poor. I arrived in my Cessna and requested that the shop install two new magnetos that I ordered. I was told that would be fine. Five days later when I came back to pick up the plane, after several phone calls to make sure it was done, it was not even started. To make matters worse, the shop finished it that evening, pushed it outside and left the cowling out in the grass leaving several fasteners who knows where. They also left all the cowling screws in the locked hangar. Timing 2 mags on a 0-200 shouldn't cost $282 either. I had a 4am launch the next morning so that was a problem. On my flight the engine ran very rough, so when I got the aircraft back to home base my mechanic checked the mags and found one at 24 deg and the other at 26 deg. They should both be a 28 deg. What makes me have to write this is that response from the owner was one of no responsibility at all. Rather it must have been my fault all along. I guess this is standard procedure.

Landed at Morey Field yesterday to confirm if there was an on-airport restaurant. I discovered that it was replaced with a flower shop. From the posted bird warning signs in the airport office it appears that the birds take precedent over aircraft. I guess the environmentalists and noise complainers from the Madison area have taken control of the airport. I won't be returning there.

I flew to this airport as part of my first solo cross-country. FBO is nice. A lot of airplane parking, and a lot of it used on my visit. A friend of mine waited at the FBO and said the people were really friendly. I had never fueled a plane before, but the self-service pump was pretty straightforward.

Came in for JetA just about closing time (5 pm Sundays). They were out of 100LL, so I make it a rule to call ahead at this airport if you need fuel.

I stopped at Morey Field last Saturday for a meeting and noticed engine trouble while taxiing in. Randi was at the FBO desk and went so far out of her way to accommodate. She called Tony one of the A&P's during his weekend off. He picked up and came down to the airport and fixed a very tricky problem with considerably above average expertise. Meanwhile they provided us with a wonderful meeting room and checked in regularly to update me on the progress of the repairs. Top notch people at a great FBO! Great facility.

Great FBO - beautiful, personable folks and top notch service. Picked Morey over Dane County/MSN since it's more cost effective and closer to UW-Hospitals / W side of the campus where I needed to visit Mom. Fuel is a bit pricey, but ability to get in the facility after hours on freezing cold nite well worth it while waiting for my ride. I look forward to the next visit!

We had a family function in Madison that we needed to attend and decided to tie down at Morey's and rent a car there. The staff couldn't have been any nicer. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and very helpful. We'll stop there again if we're in the area. I highly recommend them. They'll even waive the modest $5 overnight tie down fee if you purchase fuel.
