I had a good stop. Fuel is on a call-out basis only. Brent Allen, the Ballinger Fire Chief, came right out. Call him at 325-365-5137 work or 325-718-9644 cell. Payment is by cash or checks only--no credit cards. He gladly took us to a restaurant in town and back. I'll come back--the price is right.

Call before you arrive if you need fuel. Pump is locked and often no one is available. Pilots lounge is modest but adequate.

Sporadic fuel availability! Difficult to find/contact anyone for fuel, no Self Service. Also, lots of gravel all over the ramp and it can ping your prop if not careful. Restroom available but always filthy.

Tough place to count on. I called 2 days prior to ask "anything I need to know re getting fuel?" with assurances all was well. Arrived 48 hrs later middle of day with no fuel available as they had run out. Call before arrival!!
