We flew in for lunch on Saturday. The Barnstormer Grill has moved to the new museum building. It's the same great fun, but in a much nicer facility. They have put in a place to park your plane on the south side of the runway right by the museum. The parking area is packed dirt and was firm when we went it. I would be careful during wet weather though as it may get a little soft.

My wife and I flew in for lunch and had a blast..... Fantastic afternoon. Great hamburgers and great planes.

Flew into GA2 and ate lunch at Barnstormers. Great food/service. Parked plane 50 feet from restaurant. Restaurant hours are Fridays 12:00-9:00, Saturdays 9:00-9:00, Sundays 12:00-2:30. Unique airport with several antique airplanes under various stages of restoration. I was flying a lightly loaded A36 Bonanza (285 hp) and it was a hot day but got in and out of airstrip with no problems. Runway 31 has down hill slope.

Brought some friends in on a Saturday right at closing. Great service, good food and a pleasant change from asphalt and airspace. Expect some NORDO traffic.

Restaurant has good selection especially on Sunday. Reasonably priced and good service. Understand a new facility is to be built in near future. I recommend making a visit here.

What a delight! Ron Alexander is putting in a museum there, and the plan is to model the airport after the Atlanta airport of the 1930's. The grass runway was no problem for my A36 Bonanza. They have put in streets and are selling lots. This is a wonderful location. The restaurant has great food. Drop in on a Saturday to see a lot of interesting planes showing up. We were shooting video for "Wings To Adventure" TV. Look for this segment early in 2007.
