Landed for fuel and discovered the pumps wrapped in yellow police tape. They are starting some construction and had no fuel.

K33 is out of fuel. Work is starting next week on the taxiways and runways. The airport will close so they did not order fuel when the tank went empty.

Basic self serve fuel. Pump shuts off after 50.00 on Visa or 100.00 on Master Card. SGF vor code opens the door

Grass was growing up through every crack in the runway, but it was smooth enough. The self-serve machine is in a small building and behind a cipher lock. I don't remember the code, but a very nice gentleman was working on his truck nearby and came over to give us the lock numbers and converse. This system will only pump just over 12 gallons and then shuts down, causing you to start all over again. Also, to even get your receipt, you have to swipe your card again to make the system work. In other words, I had to go through the process four times to put 16 gallons in my airplane. The pump nozzle has a dangerous leak and from past comments, it appears to have been a problem for over two years. The fuel price of $4.05 was the second highest we paid in 8 days of flying from FL to ID and back. I do not recommend stopping at Salem.

Great fuel prices. The medivac staff even invited me to share an excellent lunch. Many Thanks
