Came through for the first time yesterday, encouraged by the low price for 100LL. Gary met us right at the aircraft, helped fuel, and walked us in to the nice terminal building. My wife is disabled, and the facilities were just fine to accommodate her needs. Definitely a place to return next time!

On February 3rd, my son and I landed at AFP to get fuel. Gary Finch drove over just to see if we needed anything. We fueled the plane and left towards our home base. The engine started running rough on departure, so we decided to return to the airport. Kent Thompson met us there to see if he could help. Gary called Randy Pinkston. The three of them could not have been more helpful. They helped us put the plane in one of Randy's hangers to leave it there. Gary even offered us a courtesy van to drive home. We decided to try and fix the problem, but had no tools with us. They lent us what we needed. We found the problem, fixed it and then ran the engine up. It checked ok so we departed to our home base. They stayed until we left. They really went the extra mile to accommodate us. What a nice place to stop, with good fuel prices also.

I had to set down late yesterday due to weather. The airport manager, Gary Fincher, offered a vehicle, a place to sleep, and a hangar space. All at no charge. AND, I wasn't even purchasing fuel. No words can describe Gary's hospitality, and the peace of mind I had last night. The airport is well maintained and would be a great planned fuel stop. The big FBOs could learn a lesson from Anson County Airport.

Great airport, especially the fuel price and friendly airport manager. Stopped in Friday the 11th of Sept 2009 and again Monday the 14th. Will definitely stop again as I often fly to WDC metro area.

Stopped in and joined the Anson Flying Club six weeks ago so I would have a very reasonably priced single engine to use training my daughter for her PPL (she passed the checkride yesterday). Along the way have gained great respect for Gary at the airport, as well as the entire flying club members. Good fuel prices, treated well in my Skymaster. Whether you want to hang around at a nicely equipped country airport, or make a quick fuel stop - this would be a good choice.
