My daughter and I flew into Akron for a family get-together over the weekend and found the staff very friendly and helpful. We used the courtesy car to drive into town and check into our motel. We then returned to the airport where we were going to meet our ride out to the farm. While waiting, several of the "local folk" offer us a ride. Akron is a great local airport and is VERY well maintained. Later that evening on our way back into town, we stopped at the airport to check on my airplane and found a sheriff's deputy patrolling the airport grounds.

Great service and nice little airport. We were going to be coming in WELL past office hours but they said they would leave a key in the courtesy car. Not only were they good to their word, but they also left a door open to the office for us to use facilities. Great stop to overnight before tackling the Rockies westbound.

First landed in Akron in 2000 with an oil pressure problem. Randy at Hayes Aviation fixed it quickly and I never had problems with that again. Been to the airport several times since then and it is always clean and the staff is always friendly!

Stopped today to get gas on the way from Wichita to Fort Collins. Cheap self serve with a credit card machine and receipt printer. Didn't see anyone around the airport but we were greeted by the friendliest airport dog you'll ever meet. Would stop again.

Stopped at Akron for fuel during a day of cross-country flying and appreciated the clean facilities and friendly service. Computer for weather and air-conditioned lounge to grab a snack from the vending machines. Town is almost close enough to walk to. I hope to stop in for fuel and rest again!

Stopped by for a quick turn to fuel and pick up catering. The reception was warm, the fueling was quick and friendly and the catering was ready for us and turned out to be excellent. The croissant sandwiches and the lemon cinnamon cookies were wonderful. This was our first time there, but won't be our last!
