Like the other TAC Air facilities we've used, this is among the best! The wind was blowing 36g42, and we were met by two very sharp line folks who quickly got us tied down. When I told them we had a small child on board, they simply directed the hotel shuttle (which they'd arranged, along with a great room) out to the airplane, and we loaded everything up and got on our way within 10 minutes. Stellar performance.

Unbelievably great FBO!! When you call in with an arrival estimate and fuel request, line service WILL be waiting for you and the fuel truck is NOT going to run out of fuel on you. After one particular AMA overnight, I had to have a GIII towed 180 degrees to avoid a tailwind start. (Line Service had anticipated that and had the tug standing by)The nosewheel torque link is usually a real pain to reconnect after a bad tow job, but Alan White did an amazing job and the link pin slipped smoothly in on the first try! We were on our way in no time. I could go on and on about the outstanding service at TAC AIR AMA! General Manager Mike Ryan is a true gentleman and every one on his staff is world-class! I look forward to seeing you all again soon!!

We flew a C-172 into KAMA, fueled and tied down with TAC Air. The line staff was great. The general manager was kind enough to take us to the airport to pick up and return our rental car. Friendly. As always, TAC Air has provided exceptional service!

I landed around 10:30 PM local without prior arrangement. I was quickly accommodated, hotel reservations were made for me and a shuttle arranged. Within 30 minutes of landing I was in a room at the Ambassador with a TAC Air discount. The airplane was topped off when I arrived the next morning and the paperwork processed quickly. The tie down and over night fees mentioned in the AFD are waived with fuel purchase.

I can't even thank you guys enough for our quick turn on 3/21/08. Let me tell you about my best time ever on the ground. We shut the engines down and in eight minutes we were taxing. I mean come on now that is really great on a quick turn. The best part was that LAS had a ground stop affective on the hour and the airport had us out at one minute before. Thanks to everyone at KAMA you guys made a ten-hour trip seem easy. The crew of N1693L

Stopped last night right at closing time in a King Air 90 for a quick turn. Didn't even order a full top-off but the folks still gave us top-notch service, pumped both wings at the same time, and we were ready to go from engine stop to start in 11 minutes, including paying the bill! Just call en route and I'm sure they'll give you the same.

It is hard to describe how satisfied we were with our experience at TAC Air of Amarillo. We came in late in the afternoon with one engine barely running and the manager, Mike Ryan, got right on the phone and found the most qualified mechanic around. The mechanic found a spare magneto locally and agreed to pick us up the next morning at our motel. He and I worked four hours swapping out the mag and test running the plane until it ran correctly. TAC Air supplied a warm hangar and a tug to move the plane in and out of the hangar for testing. They had to make four trips with the tug back and forth in 14-degree weather and blowing snow. The ladies behind the desk kept my wife busy with cookies and reading material. TAC Air of Amarillo gets my vote for FBO of the year.

Stopped here for weather and was grounded by freezing fog for 36 hours. Nice facility. Pilot's lounge, snooze room, weather area (full internet access), beautiful lobby. Very friendly staff with great suggestions while stuck. Prices are right for the excellent service provided. "The English Fieldhouse" is right next-door and serves good diner style food.

I was at TAC Air in AMA on 8/27/07. Stopped for a few hours for business. I found the FBO to be fine. Rental car was as promised through Hertz on line booking. Staff was OK friendly. (I have received spotty service over the years at TAC Air AMA, but no complaints this trip.) Fuel is a bit high, but that is common nearly everywhere these days. Facility is small, but pleasant. Nice conference room if needed. The restaurant next door is good, though I think it has slipped a bit over the past couple of years. All in all, a good experience.

We took delivery of a Malibu here. TAC Air was very professional and courteous, let us use a conference room and had wireless Internet access; Good weather briefing room: Internet and a printer. Free ice-cold bottled water -- very welcome on a hot windy day.

Brought our Citation Jet into TAC Air for an en route fuel stop because of the low contract fuel price. Excellent, fast and friendly service all around. Great hamburgers at the adjacent cafe. Highly recommend, we will be back!

I am a based customer at TAC AIR. My trips usually involve no advance notice. Rapid departure is critical to my needs. The whole crew does an excellent job. I especially want Alan to know how much he helped me, with yet another challenging request on my part recently.

I want to compliment the wonderful services provided to me by the Amarillo TAC Air staff during my recent extended stay (June 11 - July 3). All of the people I had occasion to have contact with were extremely pleasant and always helpful. I was very pleased to have my plane stored inside one of your hangars since there were several episodes of thunderstorms during my stay. In particular, Chris was exceptionally helpful and went the second mile in many small ways to make my experience so favorable!

Had to base here for about a week. Wasn't disappointed. Very professional/courteous FBO. These guys know what they're doing. Same treatment for pistons as turbines. This will be my stop any time I'm in the area.

A recent fuel stop here was one of the best we have experienced. Service was rapid, polite, and professional. The facility is great and the fuel price (Jet A) was very competitive.

Flew in on June 21. Nice airport with good controllers. TAC Air staff was great. Chris was very helpful in arranging a rental vehicle and hotel accommodations. If you get a chance go see the show at Palo Duro Canyon called "Texas".

Mike Ryan and his staff at TAC Air do an outstanding job. Fuel price and hangar prices are right in line. Staff is very professional; cars and hotel reservations were ready and printed out. Plane was fueled and put away. Leaving the next day, the front windows were even cleaned and that is no small feat on a Merlin III. Excellent weather and Internet briefing room, very clean and nice operation. A pleasure to do business with. Thank you TAC Air.

Fast and friendly ramp service. The Front desk was fantastic; they took the time to search around for a hotel room for the crew when many in town were booked. These folks are a great example of how to run an FBO.

April 14-15 2007. Accepts Colt fuel card. Jet A $3.56/gal. No one there to greet us on arrival. April 15th in the AM very unfriendly lady at the counter. Not the greatest stop.

Great facility and excellent service. Line service marshaled us to parking and promptly got us fueled and on our way. The desk staff even had a little trinket gift that thrilled my 5-year-old daughter. We will definitely use TAC-Air in the future.

In the past I have landed at Tradewind but I will not be going there any longer. Sure, the fuel prices are higher at AMA, but the last few times I've been to Tradewind I've been charged expensive fuel PLUS a ramp/tie-down fee (for zero service, I might add). At TAC Air we were marshaled in, asked if we needed help with our bags, they volunteered to tie down the airplane, and they have a nice facility to boot! No ramp/tie-down fees at TAC Air. Tradewind's operation needs a major overhaul in order to get my business back!

We had to make an unplanned stop at AMA-TAC-Air. Everyone did everything they could to help us. Line crew carried baggage to and from the plane, and got the plane to Gerald at Tradewinds Turbines as fast as they could. The receptionist met us at the door with a water bowl for our dogs and discount coupons for the restaurant. Another receptionist made a motel reservation and arranged transportation, and the manager checked up on us twice. TAC-Air may not be the cheapest FBO but they treated a Musketeer with yapping dogs like a big corporate jet with the CEO on board.

This was the second time in a year I have stopped at KAMA, and each time I get a kick out of the tower controllers, seems like they're constantly joking around with aircraft. Service was good. For some reason our fuel card rejected; it may have been nothing to do with them, but all three of the other stops the rest of the day worked fine. We took advantage of the 15% discount the FBO gives for the restaurant next door. We were in and out for lunch in a flash.

Great FBO. I stopped both ways on a trip from KEMT to KMKO in my C172. In both cases, the linemen met me and got the plane fueled promptly. The restaurant next door was unfortunately closed, so we made do from the vending machine. My wife was especially impressed on the first stop - a NASA T-38 was parked out front and when we went inside we met the astronauts in training who had made a stop there.

We stopped for fuel and restrooms on the way from Fort Worth to Raton, New Mexico in our Grumman Tiger. The general manager of the FBO met us as we walked in the door, took our empty water bottle and replaced it with an icy cold full bottle, made sure the lineman had met us on the ramp and when the attendant behind the counter was tied up with another customer he took our info and made sure our fuel order was being processed. You could not ask for better service from any FBO. These people make general aviation great.

Great FBO! Quick turn was sensationally fast with three or more line guys assisting with trash, ice, and fuel. We had three of our board members on board, and TAC helped in keeping them moving. We appreciate the hard work, keep it up!
