Recently stopped at TAC Air AMA for fuel and lunch. Line service and the CSR where prompt, professional, and courteous. The FBO manager made it a point to speak with us and thank us for our business - an appreciated gesture.

I was here yesterday. Immediately met as I taxied up and was directed to parking. The fuel truck came over within a few minutes and refueled my plane as I was gathering my things. No fees other than what I paid for fuel.

Super friendly. Great facilities. Gas is high, but only option. Didn't need it for the turn, but gladly pay it for the use of such nice facilities. Ice, drinks, cookies, tea, etc.

I received a predawn telephone call on a recent Sunday morning from Mr. Chris Shelby. The weather conditions could negatively impact my scheduled hangar pull order. He wanted to know what I wanted to do concerning this new information. His attention to detail is constant, appreciated and now noted. Thanks!

Flew in here late at night in our Bonanza. Line crew was professional and made for a quick turn. Good flight planning room with WSI weather and Internet connection. Nice long runways for our full load at this field elevation. Will return here again.

It's actually a good comment that TAC Air gives good service, considering they are the ONLY choice at AMA. Kudos to them. But I sure get tired of the political-channel on TV and the desk's claim they aren't allowed to change it despite customer's complaints. (I wasn't the only one in the room tired of that junk.) How 'bout something a bit more relaxing, like a movie, weather, football...ANYTHING else??

On 29 Dec 2010 we were getting ready to leave TAC Air (KAMA) when we experienced battery problems with our aircraft. TAC Air had 2 gas-powered GPU's, that although they worked fine, my Eclipse would not accept power from either one. Line Manager Daniel Mansfield located an electric powered GPU on the south end of the field, and Jeremy Vandyke drove the tug to tow us there. Both these guys define the term "customer first." They hung in there for us to see to it that we were taken care of. Also hats off to Mike Ryan, the Manager of TAC Air. He personally drove our 3 passengers from TAC Air FBO to the south hangar. Through out our ordeal, these three men maintained a "can-do" attitude and saw not only to the needs of us flight crew, but took excellent care of our passengers as well. I highly recommend TAC Air Amarillo!!

On a recent through TacAir-AMA, I had a customer move their departure time several hours early. It was going to be a "crunch" getting the jet prepped, fueled, lavs serviced, flt plans/releases completed/faxed, cargo loaded, etc. My ace in the hole was that I had TacAir-AMA General Manager Mike Ryan & his extraordinarily capable & courteous crews at the desk & on the ramp! I had absolutely no stress about getting airborne on time. From a dead stop, TacAir-AMA had me blocking out in 45 minutes. And it's not like I was the only aircraft on the ramp! Mike & his people are like wizards at keeping multiple events humming along. A well-tuned machine. No short cuts, no motion wasted, nobody lost their smile, &, most importantly, safety was never compromised. Quite simply, a refreshing air of quiet confidence in everything they do & total competence in doing it. My congratulations to Mike Ryan & the entire staff at TacAir-AMA! I am looking forward to my next trip to KAMA!

Great service a few days ago. I arrived during a period of high winds so my airplane was chained down immediately after I shut off the engine. They also gave me a ride over to the flight school on the other side of the airport so that I could pick-up a chart order. They have wifi available.

Clément & Sylvia Dion from Canada landed in Amarillo on Saturday March 20th. The service at TAC Air was excellent. Special thanks to Stephanie Sandoval for prompt assistance in assuring a reservation at the Ambassador and a courtesy shuttle van. The warm welcome (despite the snowy cold weather) was very much appreciated. Fond memories of general manager, Mike Ryan and his spouse and all staff. We highly recommend TAC Air!

We called ahead to arrange fuel, overnight hangar, and a rental car for our weeklong stay. Staff was friendly and very accommodating on the phone. Upon arrival, marshaled in by a friendly lineman. They didn't bring the rental car to the airplane, but allowed my wife to drive it to the airplane for loading. Everything was in order and the airplane was fueled and put to bed in the hangar within 30-minutes of our arrival. We called ahead with our departure instruction request and the staff was most helpful, allowing us to load at the hangar and depart without moving the airplane back to the flight line. A very nice TAC Air experience at KAMA.

When we arrived Stephanie, the CSR, marshaled us into parking and then promptly completed the paper work for our passengers' rental car. Our passengers were on their way in minimum time. All service was completed with exceptional professionalism and a big Texas smile. Prior to arriving at AMA CSR Rita had made crew hotel and car reservation which due to date changes she later had to update. All went well. We have been into TAC Air several times and Rita has always provided us with exceptional customer service. We will definitely return.

Yesterday at exactly 0430 local time my aircraft was pulled from TAC Air hangar. This was important due to a customer request that involved multiple legs on his trip that were time critical. The cold temperature and possible precip could complicate the successful outcome of my customer's needs. This may sound easy enough but several factors are in play to complicate the situation. The fact that only two people are working this shift makes it more remarkable that this happened as planned. It took coordination from Rita, Jeremy, Daniel, Joey and probably others for the excellent service. Thanks

TAC Air at AMA is always great. Stopped in due to weather to refuel and make a new plan. Got a quick turn around and friendly service. The FBO Manager even came out to pull our chocks while the line guys were tied up with bigger aircraft. Service here is always excellent. I have been stopping here for the last 5 years.

I was forced to make an unplanned stop in Amarillo due to weather and landed around 9PM local. Chris Lemaster did a great job organizing the ground crew, fueling our jet, arranging hotel reservations, and loaning us the TAC Air car for the night. He ensured we'd be good overnight, and it made the stop much easier on us. Fly Navy!

I have been flying into Amarillo over the past year for student cross-country training. On my last trip we had a bad mag, and where unable to come home on a Saturday night. The TAC Air staff helped us in getting a hold of a mechanic, and book a hotel room. The following day General Manager Mike Ryan helped us again by locating a mechanic, and even took us out too lunch! Since we need parts we where stuck another night. Again TAC Air booked our hotel, and lineman Nick Odom drove us in his car after his shift to Wal-Mart and to get something to eat. I have been to many FBO's around the Midwest, and have never seen the type of customer service that TAC Air employees displayed. I would go out of your way to stop and see the great Texas hospitality these guys and girls show!

I fly into Amarillo 4-5 times per year on business, and have always enjoyed absolutely outstanding service from the folks at TAC Air. There has always been someone on the line to direct me to parking and help tie down the plane (even during late night arrivals), and the folks at the desk are consistently courteous and helpful. On my most recent trip (arrived April 21), the folks at the desk handed me the keys to my rental car as I walked through the door from the ramp. In addition, their fuel prices for a full-service top-notch FBO have always been very reasonable. TAC Air is the FBO against which I judge all others.

Fantastic! We had to stop in our Trinidad TB21 to wait out hurricane Dolly and the amenities were great. We booked our hotel in the pilots lounge and when we requested a taxi they handed us the keys to their crew car plus a $30% discount coupon to "The Big Texan", the home to the 72oz steak (make sure to order the free "limo" service from your hotel and bring a camera), which was perfectly described as a John Wayne movie on acid. not to be missed. A lot of military activity while we were here; wonderful photo ops. Above and beyond!
