Stopped for fuel Sunday 7-6-08 to be met by a sign on the pump "NO FUEL". Whoops!

Response from Bruce Belligan, Airport Manager, Arco-Butte County Airport
100LL is available as of July 11, 2008 Sorry for the temporary lack of fuel...

26 June 08 - As advertised...Read/follow instructions...Pump activation handle is on the same side as the credit card scanner...Handle on runway side remains on...Minor complication.

Great stop! 4 years ago I came into Arco and vowed to never come again. Bruce has really changed things around!! He's got cheap fuel, helped us park next to the pump and filled us up! He also let us get on the Internet to check weather. Fuel is self serve with a CC machine if Bruce isn't around. After you turn on the pump wait about 15 seconds for the line to prime (you'll see the meter jump a bit) then start pumping, if you don't wait the gas will trickle. Just stop pumping for a 15 seconds and it will go much faster.

Fueled up on Sunday, Mother's Day, and Bruce was there ready to help. Great fuel stop and great prices. Saved more than a buck a gallon of that of nearby cities. I saved about $160 compared to my home base prices. That makes the stop well worth it. Runway is like new and long. CC machine for self-service.

I am a repeat customer of Arco airfield and the service is still "top-notch". While announcing my inbound intentions, "Welcome to Arco" with the wind information came over the radio allowing me to make an early preparation for the active runway. I handed Bruce my credit card, and promptly went inside to use the facilities. In just 5 minutes, he had my plane refueled, helped me push the ol girl back, and I was back in the air in 20 minutes without breaking the bank for fuel prices. Mo-gas is coming shortly as promised, and I will be back for another great stop. Thanks again Bruce!

Stopped in Arco on Labor Day (Sept 3 2007). The gentleman who was working at the airport was great, friendly, and helpful. He even helped us take pictures of some passing tumbleweeds. We wanted to go into town for lunch; he gave us use of his truck, and permission to go out to Craters of the Moon National Park after lunch. We had a great lunch at the Green Pickle BBQ and spent a couple hours at the park (Bring lots of water). Good stop! Cheap fuel too.

On 8-29-07 I called for traffic advisories at Arco-Butte. Was greeted by "Welcome to Arco" and received advisories. Upon landing, I was met by Bruce Belligan, the airport manager. He assisted with refueling and even checked my oil. He invited us inside his office/home to clean up and use the restroom. He directed us to some cold water to drink and checked weather for us. Great Guy!!

Landed twice on trip to Idaho from NC. Excellent fuel prices. Lightning knocked the fuel pumps out on our return to NC. I had less than 30 min fuel left and no airport nearby. Bruce got hold of Eric Benson who came to the airport, got a couple of fuel cans and made two trips to town for auto fuel. We would have been in a jam without their help. Super nice people and will have auto fuel soon.

Arco-Butte County airport is a great GA stop when flying North/South or East/West. We were flying from Salt Lake to Stevensville and the weather was suspect over the Lost Trail ski area pass. Bruce was very helpful with online weather information and assisting us with a very quick refuel, complimentary sodas/unsweetened ice tea, and pushing our tripacer back from the fuel dock for an efficient pit stop. Bruce is very informative and is working on replacing the JETA pump with MOGAS, as JETA hasn't been selling. He has my business with that move! A+ for friendliness, service, efficiency, and weather information.

I am yet another pilot among a growing number that was very pleased with service provided at AOC. While on my way to West Yellowstone (KWYS) Sunday, September 17, 2006, I made a stop here for a quick break. On asking for airport advisories I was pleasantly surprised to get a response. While I did not intend to refuel, Bruce, the airport manager, said he was the lowest around and verified this with AirNav. He also looked up prices for me on my return flight to Sacramento, CA. After topping off fuel he also checked the oil for me - Wow! what service. I recommend stopping here for all who need a rest and low cost fuel. AOC is a quick and easy airport to get in and out of so you can get on your way again. Thanks Bruce!

I didn't expect to get a response when I broadcast my position and intention on the CTAF going into AOC. It was a pleasant surprise to be welcomed and given the current wind by Bruce, the airport manager. He took pictures of the approach and departure of the motorglider I was flying, and fueled the aircraft (100LL) and me (complimentary soda pop) while on the ground. The pictures were emailed the same day and are a highlight of a sightseeing trip to Eastern Idaho. Visiting with Bruce is worth a stop and the fuel price was over a buck cheaper than other fuel I bought on the trip. Hats off to what he's done at AOC.

Made a stop at Arco to rest after a rough flight over the desert from Pocatello to find it has been fixed up nicely! I haven't been in over a year after the fuel pumps went dry. The fuel pumps are back up (cheapest prices around), pay by credit card, new computer with internet service, courtesy car and the pilots lounge has been completely fixed up and refurbished...All thanks to the new manager, Bruce! I always liked stopping at Arco, but now I will try to whenever I can. Make sure you thank Bruce for all his hard work for turning this stop around!

Gas price as advertised. Nice runway and good, friendly service. I will stop there again whenever I am in the area.

I refueled at Arco May 10th 2006 and found they have a new FBO operator, and 24-hour fuel with credit card.
