From Bruce Taylor on 30-Apr-2008: Just made and angel flight to the Mayo Clinic. Since the switchover of the FBO at KRST to Signature we looked for another alternative. A stop at KRST costs $220 in ramp fees and a $2.00 gallon difference in Jet A prices. Overnight hangar for us is $345 at RST and $90 at AUM. For our aircraft the cost difference between KRST and KAUM can exceed $1300! KAUM is a GREAT alternative. NICE, small FBO. Get a GREAT deal on a rental car from "Baldy" at the local car dealership. Bruce Budahan was great to deal with. They have a brand new ILS. The highway that leads to Rochester (28 miles away) is literally at the end of the runway. KRST...We'll never be back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, let us have the courtesy car and gave us detailed directions to the hotel and suggestions for food in the area. Great service! We had a good time in Austin and even got to check out the Spam museum, which was fun.
From Matthew Brandes on 24-Apr-2006: Wife and I stopped over here for a couple of hours waiting for some storms to pass over MSP. Bruce was still around the airport and tossed us the keys to the courtesy car and gave us directions to Jerry's Other Place for dinner. A very nice new runway and the best FBO building I've ever been in! This would be a great stop for anyone. Thanks Bruce!
From Scott C Bartley on 30-Nov-2005: THe airport has a new FBO building. This is a significant improvement from the prior building. I was there on 11/26/05 and they sell 24 oz soft drinks for $1.00.
