I recently completed Instrument/Commercial training at Mach5. Starting with my Private in May, I was able to leapfrog to Instrument then Commercial in ten-weeks. This included all flight-training, groundwork, testing-checkrides. The staff at Mach5 committed time to make this happen. From Dennis-Pearson my Instrument instructor to Greg-Patelzick my Commercial instructor to Peggy in the front office to Ash-Vidal the maintenance/ops coordinator and then Tucker, the official Mach5 mascot, I felt at home the entire time. Mach5 strives to re-create an atmosphere of general aviation that has been lost, as time has worn on. The Mach5 office is a welcome home to travelers, students and just those that want to experience a by-gone-era of aviation friendliness/congeniality. My choice to work with Mach5 was correct, and I do not hesitate to point people to Mach5 for general aviation needs.

I started working on my private pilot's certificate with Mach 5 Aviation and I took my checkride after only 45 hours - just 5 hours above the minimum requirement. The instructors know their stuff, are professional, and also like to have fun! Definitely a flying school worth considering.

Make sure to drop by the "Clubhouse" at Mach5. The folks are friendly, always talking flying and willing lend a hand if you need some help!

I performed my first "owner-assisted" annual with Mach 5, after 7 years of owning my Cessna 182. What a fantastic experience! They saved me a ton of money, downtime was minimized, and I learned a ton about aircraft maintenance. The whole crew there made me feel absolutely welcome, and I'd repeat the process in a heartbeat. (Well, not before my year is up, let's not be ridiculous! ;) )

Mach 5 Aviation is run the way a flight school and aircraft rental establishment was meant to be run. It is a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere yet very professional. I rent from them when my finances allow and I am always treated with respect and dignity. There is a good selection of aircraft to choose from (C-172s, Piper Archer PA-28-181, and Piper Arrow PA-28R-201) at reasonable rates and they are well maintained. The staff at Mach5 is bringing back the camaraderie and enjoyment of flying that once existed in the General Aviation community prior to the events that have occurred over the past 10 years. I highly recommend them whether you are a recreational renter or looking to earn a certificate or rating.
