Alexandria's a great area, Chandler field is a great asset, nice people, fantastic building, excellent resources - Chet's Chicken rocks! So does BugABoo Bay!

This is a great little airport in beautiful MN. We arrived here late one evening after a bumpy flight. Todd Roth, the airport manager, and his staff couldn't do enough for us. They helped fuel us at the self-serve pump, found us a hotel room, gave us a dinner recommendation and loaned us a van for the evening. We stopped here twice. Both times, they were very nice. This is a good place to stop in western MN.

Flew in at about 8pm to meet a friend for dinner. Self Serve 100LL not a problem. Had to run out to take a look at my sectional to figure out what the code to get into the building was. Very nice (albeit nobody home) building, but couldn't find a crew car after hours and I didn't feel like calling anybody. AXN is a beautiful area, highly recommended.

This is actually a really great airport. I am glad that I chose to make this airport my base for three days, as I was working about a 70-mile radius. I had a fouled spark plug that I noticed on arrival; Kevin (on field mechanic) took care of the problem while I was out working, charged <$100 for a new plug and all the labor. The FBO building is well stocked has most charts that one could need as well as pilot supplies. The only negative was slightly higher than average fuel price (the highest for my trip, especially for self serve), but the facilities made up for the higher fuel cost. OVERALL GRADE: A

We landed at AXN due to weather. I was prepared to sit at the airport and wait out the storm, but we were given a crew car and drove to a restaurant. We didn't purchase fuel here and yet were treated like part of the family. I will stop here again!!!

Alexandria Aviation is awesome! When three 172's needed to stop and spend the night in Alexandria, Alexandria Aviation treated us like royalty! Clean facilities, nice crew cars, and large ramp. Upon returning in the morning our planes needed to be warmed up. We found a helpful staff, and a warm hangar at our disposal. Thank you Alexandria Aviation for helping out in our time of need! Friendly staff. Two free courtesy cars. Good restaurants within a mile. Felt like these people really care about their visitors. Good place for the $100 hamburger. Resorts all around the area.

Great service, friendly people, very nice facility. Two nice courtesy cars to choose from with a two-hour limit. Many restaurants nearby in town. Nice lobby area and flight planning room, soda and snack machines, clean restrooms, large tie-down area. We took advantage of the pilot's lounge with two big comfy recliners, a couch, and a TV while we waited for some weather to pass. Both courtesy cars were available and we used one to drive to lunch.
