Good experience at Ross Aviation. Pleasant, courteous service. A note on Angel Fire: this is a difficult airport to get in and out, particularly in winter. High-density altitude, low weather, contaminated runways, one-way in and out and fierce crosswinds. Make sure you have a flexible schedule and do your homework. -Baron N7210C

Spent a long weekend in Angel Fire. Ross Aviation was there to park, chock, and tie down my Mooney. When I was ready to go they were there to untie it. Great service.

I dropped by Ross Aviation this month to check out the airport for future use. The manager was very accommodating. They have a spacious private hangar for storage during your stay and an engine heater that could be used on my Grumman. I visited during a week when they obtained a foot of snow, yet I noticed that they kept the runway clean. I will definitely fly-in next time. I forgot to ask about rental cars/SUV's.

I have used Ross Aviation for over 5 years, when my wife and I visit Angel Fire every ski season; and they have always taken great care of my plane. Though be extra careful during the summer months, high winds, and even higher density altitude problems. Non-turbo aircraft must exercise extreme prudence when operating in the Valley - there is no room for error.

Spent the weekend in Angle Fire. Very courteous folks, friendly and willing to help in any way. Fairly easy in and out this time of year but would be cautious during warmer months. May depart to the south next trip due to rising terrain to the south.

Expect crosswinds and high DA in summer. Limited space to maneuver in the valley if you get into a bind. The area is gorgeous on the ground and in the air. See the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park just 5 minutes from the airport. Ross Aviation ramp service was friendly - but filled the wrong tank on the plane after strong emphasis not to.

Beautiful location in mountain valley. Very friendly and helpful at Ross Aviation. Pay them a visit if you are in the area. 3 or 4 King Airs on the ramp. Ski slopes nearby.
