Lonnie gave a great lesson. The ground portion (the inexpensive part) of the lesson was well thought out and delivered, this way the actual flying (the expensive part) was kept to a minimum. As a flight instructor myself I wish more flight instructors and schools would teach and run their schools like Lonnie runs Specialty Flight Training. You can't go wrong with Specialty Flight Training.

We flew the TBM 700 here for a campus visit and stayed most of the day. We were able to get a bite at the Free Bird restaurant on site. The staff was incredibly helpful and we saw that extended to all the visitors throughout the day. We were towed to the pump for Jet fuel and returned to parking. The facilities were good with Internet wifi. We rented a vehicle from Enterprise, which picked us up and returned us to the airport. The ramp is rough with widespread growth in the cracks, which is a concern for turbine ops, but there is a nice ramp not far away, which we would probably use next time. There is no approach here and glider ops were in effect so good comm procedures are important in the pattern. We got great service from Denver approach directly here from Dallas.

I continue to be impressed with SFTI. They are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and very customer oriented.

I have an airplane based at BDU, and have had dealings with SFT since they first opened. Lonnie and Geno have consistently gone out of their way to be helpful, and my experience with them has always been positive.
