Just made a call to FBO. Wanted $40 facility fee for a 172 I'll be there 3 hours. Am I missing something or is this just gouging. The same company owns both FBO’s so no competition. Or 15 gallons gas at 7.09.

Even though the facility at Atlantic East is not elaborate, the people here provide extravagant service. I have had the privilege of using this FBO many times and have always had a great experience. I fly a Columbia 400, but you would think it was a Gulfstream by the attention and level of service I get every time. It's all about the great folks that serve here. Keep it up! I'll be back!

Stopped in for fuel at Atlantic East during our trip between ROA and LFT. Encountered great service and hospitality including use of the crew car for lunch. Definitely recommend use of this FBO for future trips.

There are two Atlantic FBO's on the field. Make sure you know which one you want, West (RWY6 approach end) or East.

Landed in Birmingham just before a big storm. Very windy day, they helped me with the bags and had the rental car ready out front. Hail was predicted as well as high winds and heavy rain, so I requested that they put my aircraft in a hangar. They pulled into the maintenance hangar and left it there overnight to protect it from the hail. They went above and beyond to help protect my aircraft (a Piper Arrow, not a jet!). The next day Lacrecia at the front desk was very helpful and helped me get on my way quickly. Fuel prices are in line with a large airport and full service FBO. I will always go to Atlantic in BHM!

Arrived at Atlantic Aviation East 01-07-2011 for two nights and was meet at the airplane by lineman. He went and got us a baggage cart for our passengers’ baggage. They also put the plane in the hangar due to strong winds with out having to ask (free of charge). My experience could not have been better! When I arrived (to Atlantic Aviation East), Lil and the crew could NOT have been any more accommodating. Thanks for all your help Lil. Very professional and courteous! Have a minimum purchase of 30 gallons for Twin waived the facility fee. I HIGHLY recommend this FBO to anyone - very GA friendly!! THANK YOU for your exceptional service!!

After reading previous comments regarding Atlantic Aviation, we were reluctant to go to BHM. Called ahead 10/16/17 to see if these people were really this bad! Lil took our call and soon thereafter felt assured that we would not have to mortgage the plane just to pay outrages fees. Our visit today was excellent. Lil and the line guys were outstanding and very professional. We were made to feel at home and there were no surprises. We will return. Have a great day Lil and the BHM EAST team!

I stopped at BHM for fuel and taxied to Atlantic East. The staff was very nice and I had a fun conversation with the desk agent (It was nice to meet you Lacrecia!) while my airplane was being fueled. The facility is nice and I stayed only briefly so I did not explore much. Seemed like a great fuel stop and great people.

I was reluctant to fly into this airport after reading some of the negative reviews I read for this FBO. But due to a family illness, I needed to go there today. My experience could not have been better! I called ahead and was very impressed at how I was treated on the phone. When I arrived (to Atlantic Aviation West), Susan and the crew could NOT have been any more accommodating. Very professional and courteous! Fuel is high, as in most larger airports, but a minimum purchase of 15 gallons waived the landing fee. Although they were busy with several arrivals, they never once let us go unnoticed or unattended to. They made us feel as important as the 'next guy' who was probably able to give them a lot more business than our little plane could. I HIGHLY recommend this FBO to anyone - very GA friendly!! THANK YOU for your exceptional service!!

I've flown Angel Flts for a long time but I don't think I've ever encountered the incredible support I got from Atlantic East in BHM today. Lacrecia Burks was just excellent and thanks to the compassionate attitude of Mgr David Moore, they went above and beyond to help with today's flight. THANK YOU BOTH! My next refueling stop at GRD was pretty much just the entire opposite. Some folks really have a heart...And some are just oblivious to the idea of helping others. I really appreciated my experience with Atlantic East! You folks really made my day.

I took my sister here on Monday May 24th just to drop her off with my Cessna Skylane RG single-engine. Unless you are a corporate pilot and someone else is paying your aviation related bills, I'd remain on guard if you must land at BHM. I called ahead Sunday, and Wendy said Atlantic would charge "only" $10 for dropoff and if you are on their ramp for 30 minutes or less. But, she would not be there on Monday. When I landed, I was asked which Atlantic I wanted to taxi; didn't know before, but there are two Atlantic Aviation FBOs on the field. I went to Atlantic West. Line crew seemed friendly, but were busy, and did not hang around my airplane much, which I actually like. I asked the desk staff if I could buy an Atlanta sectional. Turns out, they don't stock a single aeronautical chart. They said to try the flight school in the next hangar to which I walked. I assume because they felt like they let me down, they never asked for a fee when I landed.

More to the story - I emailed David Moore at Atlantic about our experience on May 8. David responded, and stated Atlantic waives the facility fee when 15 or more gallons are purchased. I think what contributed to the problem was that we attempted to split the fuel bill on two different cards (sharing expenses!), but the POS didn't recognize this. Holly York, the Customer Service Manager for Atlantic has credited my card for the $40 facility fee. The lesson here is if it doesn't sound right, keeping asking questions! Thank you David and Holly.

Flew into BHM and Atlantic West on Saturday, May 8, to visit the Southern Museum of Flight. Used the crew car to drive to the other side of the field, which was nice. On return to the FBO, purchased 15 gals for the Skylane, and was also charged a $40 facility fee, and a $5 security fee. Lady at the desk said the facility fee was based on aircraft, and $40 is for single engine, and is charged even if you are just dropping off passengers. Beware...

Thanks Atlantic East at Birmingham, experience was great, crew and staff were great. Nothing was an issue ever! Got treated like we were in a G4. Hotel shuttle was due to pick us from main passenger terminal, Atlantic staff re-routed shuttle to pick us up from the FBO. Aircraft was pulled to the front that morning, excellent. We then had a flat battery and GPU was pulled out of the hanger quickly and we were on our way. Thanks Atlantic

$200 ramp fee even with the purchase of 90 gallons of Jet A, really slow turn around. Got much better service at the two other airports I used same day with no fees.

Excellent service. I would go out of my way to use them again. Flew into KBHM from Panama City to pick up wife from a commercial flight. Atlantic Aviation gave me great information beforehand in assisting me to plan this trip. They let me borrow their crew car to go pick up the wife from the terminal. They have nice PCs on site to get updated weather information. Their accommodations are very inviting with relaxing rooms, a big screen television, comfy couches, and a kitchen area. My only expenses were for 18+ gallons of their 100LL fuel, which I found a little high...But then again it's an international airport and they didn't charge me for ramp fees, tiedown fees, or anything else. One of their employees, Lacrecia Burks, was extremely helpful and courteous. Call ahead to make sure that she's on duty the day that you're traveling and you won't have anything to worry about.

Flew to Atlantic BHM the other day for a 3-hour business meeting. Service was top notch. Parked me right up front and never touched the airplane. Gas was $4.90 a gallon and ramp fee was waived with fuel purchase. They gave me their crew car no charge. I will be back. Good job. Thanks.

I arrived in a hurry to get parked, check out a rental car, and get to a local hospital in time for my mom's surgery. The very courteous and accommodating Atlantic Aviation folks helped me unload my Grumman, packed up the rental car which they drove out to the ramp, and had me on my way in a very short time. Great Customer Service! I'll definitely be back.
