Diverted a GV into BLV due to weather at St. Louis Regional (KALN). While waiting we were quickly fueled and used their computer to monitor the weather. After waiting 4 hours with no weather improvement, we were given a crew car for the night to go to a nearby hotel. The FBO opened early so we could depart first thing in the morning getting the aircraft to ALN to and into maintenance early. Great support on very short notice.

I spent the weekend in the St. Louis area. Paul was extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of ramp space and runway. I would highly recommend this FBO.

Arrived July 3 returning our daughters dog. Met by Paul who immediately responded by providing a bowl of water for the dog -- unsolicited -- it was a very hot day. Paul proceeded to help unload the aircraft and install the airplane cover. Great personal service -- very friendly and above and beyond. Departed July 6. Paul had aircraft refueled and pulled up in front of the building. Helped load. Fuel price was surprisingly better than I had expected. All in all, a great stop. Airport advertised as Scott AFB, so it probably keeps folks from considering for a stop. But it can be a good alternative. Will return.

Paul is extremely helpful and a super nice guy. But when he's not there, this place isn't very accommodating to GA. I'll definitely go back, but only if I know Paul is around.

Paul has consistently provided great service every time we stop at KBLV. He recently went way above and beyond helping us debug a battery problem on our Saratoga. I would definitely recommend going to Avmats and KBLV when visiting the St. Louis area.

Fuel wasn't the lowest in the area but the service was above and beyond, great facilities too (on the G Ramp at the north end of the east rwy). Two blocks from I-64, only 20 miles to downtown and the Arch. Paul at AVMATS is incredible!! Don't be frightened off by mentions of landing and ramp fees. Check with Paul but I think they only apply to air carriers and cargo ops?? I'll be back!!

We stopped in Sep 21 for an overnight on the way to attend the Annual ABS convention in Buffalo NY. Airport is not busy, approach and tower are friendly, lots of ramp space at AvMats, attractive clean facility. Paul Crow is as described by several other people who have commented. Great guy, extremely helpful. Courtesy car was in use so he took my wife and I to the nearby La Quinta in his personal vehicle--and picked us up the following morning! Can't get much better service than that.

Paul at AVMATS is everything you read about him on this site, and more! He bends over backwards to accommodate you. He loaned us the crew car overnight. (Note that, as he puts it, "Taxis are scarce" at the MidAmerica Airport.) He was also willing to coordinate a rental car for us. He opened up the FBO an hour earlier than posted to accommodate our early departure time. Please do make BLV & a visit with Paul at AVMATS a stop on your cross-country.

We flew in with a Cessna 172 on Sunday Feb. 22. The lineman parked us when we got to the ramp. Very clean bathrooms and waiting areas. We were able to get a crew car to go into town to inspect a car we were thinking of buying. Very nice FBO. I was afraid of making a mistake while flying into an Air Force Base but the folks in the tower were friendly as well. I would visit again!
