This place definitely gets my vote for friendliest FBO in the STL area. Arrived corporate style with pax for overnight. Paul Crow at AvMats rolled out the red carpet for us. Gave us use of the crew car for the day and overnight, and personal cell number in case we needed anything else. He arrived early A.M. On a holiday to open up and see us off. I will certainly be back, maybe even someday in my Cardinal.

Great FBO, friendly people. We needed a jump and it was raining, but they came out promptly and helped us out. Every FBO should be like Avmats :-)

I'd like to echo the positive comments about AVMATS. Paul gave us excellent service on somewhat short notice, including arranging for rental cars through Enterprise. The facility is great - enormous ramp, clean, friendly. Jet fuel at $4.92/gal is actually quite cheap compared to others, and the service and attitude is worth the price. Highly recommended! So sad to see such a huge airport looking like a ghost town.

Stopped at AVMATS for the AIRFEST at Scott AFB. Great service and hospitality. Paul and I had emailed each other several times the week before to arrange a rental car to get around to the base since you cannot go to the base from MidAmerica. That all got arranged and he filled me in on how the event worked. He was there to greet us on arrival on show day. Beautiful FBO. It is just a shame this airport is so under-utilized. 10, 000' runway? Amazing. But kudos to Paul and AVMATS. Give them your business.

We flew in Friday afternoon and left Sunday afternoon. The security was not a problem. The FBO was new and nice. The staff did a really great job. The rental van was driven to the plane. Next time I fly up I'll use them again.

LIFESAVER. The FBO hours are different than listed in the AFD, etc. So watch out. I arrived and needed to get full fuel on a long cross-country flight. I called the number and the owner came 20 minutes from home to fuel my aircraft.
