Stopped in at BQP on business and visit family. As usually courtesy car was available. However experienced mechanical problem w/car, called Brent mgr and he came to provide assistance, corrected the problem, made sure I got to the Hotel and the next morning verified that the courtesy car started to get me to airport for my IFR departure. Thanks again Brent. Another positive BQP experience.

My wife and I fly into Bastrop 7 to 8 times annually. Dr Baker is the greatest. He knows all the "in & outs" around that airfield. The crew car is always there and available. We get the key and take care of all our local business. Brent the airport manager is knowledgeable and helpful. From caring for my plane to making sure the tie down ropes are adequate. He is on the ball. Good service, great airfield, super kind people. Dr. Baker even provided me his personal vehicle on one occasion when the crew car was not available. Thanks Bastrop Memorial. You guys are SUPER!!!

I stopped for fuel and, checking with flight services, I found that weather was going to keep me on the ground. The people involved with the airport at Bastrop are spectacular. A list of telephone numbers inside the door let me find Dr. Baker. He told me where the key to the courtesy car was and advised me on a motel. Went into town; had a great meal at Granny's smorgasbord. I met Brent Elton, Airport Manager, the next morning. He is equally hospitable. I can't recommend Bastrop highly enough.

Cheap fuel stop with an unlocked air-conditioned building and Internet access. Only a coke machine available when unattended. Taxis can't seem to find the airport, so it's not so good to stop for food unless someone is there.
