Beautiful airport and nice fuel area; unfortunately the self serve fuel pump was NOTAM'd OTS after we departed. We'll try again.

The wider runway and ramp area is new and the self-serve pumps are new. New hangars are underway. As of May/07 there are no facilities near the pumps just a phone. For shelter or washroom you have to walk a distance. Jet is limited to $500, which isn't reasonable at $3.50 per gallon. The city should expand the limit. My TBM needed two authorizations--can't imagine what would happen with a King Air or Citation. I called ahead and received a return call confirming the status. Two principals came out to meet us Sunday to make sure everything was working correctly. Just north of Omaha, this was a great, fast stop that I would hesitate to recommend for quick in/out if you don't need services and the wx is good. It is a VFR airport but I got my clearance from OMA departure. Overall, an easy stop, price was a bit high for the lack of facilities but a good alternative if you are just fueling. Nice people trying to make it better I think it will likely develop into a great stop.
