Line Staff were good. Most of the staff behind the desk are great, especially the older girls. Still would be nice to see manners, a please or a thank you from one in particular who never has a smile and complains about her work mates. Fuel, Hangar and GPU prices are very very expensive. They wanted $360 a night to hangar my aircraft, when I complained about the price, they told me that is what there full time tenants pay. That works out to over $130, 000 a year. I managed to hangar the aircraft at KBQR for $20 a night and the service was much better. Coffee at Prior is awful as well. Powdered creamer is a peeve of mine especially in expensive FBO'S. Bottom line, Line Staff are good, Desk Staff are good with the exception of one, FAR TOO EXPENSIVE.

Attended the annual ABS convention at Buffalo Sep 22 to Sep 26. Prior was the host FBO. In spite of about 170 "extra" Bonanzas and Barons the line and desk personnel handled everything in a friendly and efficient manner. Yep, fuel prices are high but this is a first class facility at a big airport.

I commute to Buffalo weekly and have all but given up on KBUF and Prior (the only FBO) because of costs. My business seems much more welcome at KBQR, only five miles away. The fuel is $1.25/gallon more expensive at Prior, there is a $5 landing fee and a $17/night parking fee. This results in literally double the cost for coming into Buffalo than Lancaster (KBQR). It's too bad, because the line service is top notch and the counter staff has always been nice to me. I only go in there now as an alternate because Lancaster lacks an instrument approach. In marginally low weather I fly the ILS 32 into Buffalo and break off on final if I see KBQR.

Called ahead for fee info at Prior. Planned to stay one week for Christmas. Per night Hangar fee for a Mooney $171.60, Landing fee $5.00, "Handling/ramp fee" $19.25, overnight fee $17.00. You people are crazy. Went to BQR 5 miles to the east. No fees. Extremely modest hangar fee subject to availability. Cheapest 100LL in the area. Would have enjoyed trying out Prior but I paid less at KTEB in the New York City area! I'm from Buffalo and want the city to do well but why would people stop at KBUF when faced with this scenario?

Landed and took off in a pouring down rainstorm - this FBO handled our Comanche timely, fueled professionally and cheerfully gave me the crew car while I waited for my wife to return from a meeting. Had a minor mechanical issue, which they dealt with for me in less than 90 minutes, and my airplane was ready long before our departure.

Parked with Prior from Aug 3-8. Called the week before to discuss ramp fees, hangar costs, fuel, etc. The person who I spoke with was rude and very difficult (I wish I had her name). After having this same conversation with 8 FBO's I was planning to do business with over a 2-week period, this was the only conversation that was strained. She should be fired. When my family came to greet us at Prior, the woman in the office was also very rude to them. My wife's aunt couldn't imagine how someone so rude could have a customer service job. The staff that I dealt with on my departure was fine. So, one bad apple and I wish I remembered her name. Also, prices we're highest in the country that I paid over 2 weeks and line guys did nothing special like offering to clean windows, drive us out and back, help load the plane, etc. Four guys sitting around in office while we loaded the plane ourselves 50 feet away. Service is better at other FBO's.

Prior Aviation is a classic example of why every FBO needs competition. The facilities are certainly nothing special, there's no WSI Pilot Brief system available for pilots, the counter staff is indifferent, and the line guys are OK. All in all, Prior does nothing extraordinary to earn their extraordinary fuel prices except for being lucky enough to be the only FBO on the field. Pilots should consider flying into Niagara Falls or any other local airport to get a fair price on fuel.

Visited this FBO over a weekend in July 2009. We stayed in the facility for an extended period waiting out weather prior to departing. The facility is very nice and there is plenty of staff. Though the fuel and parking/handling prices are a little steep, the amenities and the helpful staff make this a great FBO.

Every time I go back to Prior the service just keeps on getting better. A big thank you to all the lovely ladies behind the counter ... You are a true asset to Prior Aviation. It is so refreshing to get such great service from an FBO that has no competition!

Stopped overnight en route to Sun n Fun for a quick business meeting. Everyone very professional, first class FBO. Fuel price steep, but lots of amenities to justify it. Staff friendly and helpful.
