Stopped by for fuel. Easy in and out. Fuel $3.85 as advertised. Would recommend.

Two weeks ago I stopped in Childress due to weather and ended up spending the night. The service was nice and friendly, the fuel price was more than reasonable, the little FBO was clean, and a crew car was available. You can't ask for much more than this. The runway was in very good condition, but is careful in the parking area after dark (weeds in the concrete joints and tie downs could be hard to find). If the need arises I will stop here again. :)

We fly our Caravan to CDS a few times a year during hunting season. Fuel prices are reasonable and the city keeps someone at the field seven days a week, I believe 8-5. There is a small FBO office with a restroom opened during the day only. Taxi service has come and gone in Childress, so you must have transportation arranged if you want to go into town. There is a Boll Weevil station and a state prison on the field that tends to keep security in check.

The airport ramp has some grass growing up through the cracks, but the runway is in good shape. Fuel prices are great and you get good service from the attendant during the daylight hours. Good place to stop if you are looking for good fuel prices and quick turnaround without big city services.
