Metro Air opened up some of their large hangers to temporarily protect planes from Hurricane Irene. I called this morning and they could not have been more helpful. When I landed, they had the follow me truck waiting, topped up my fuel and put my plane in their hangar. Had a rental car waiting for me and on my way quickly. One of the best FBO experiences I've ever had.

We arrived in our Bonanza to an empty ramp, but Kevin made us feel right at home. He'd pulled our rental car onto the ramp and helped unload the airplane and load up the car. No tie-down ropes were available so we used our own. Excellent service and I will be visiting again!

Fuel price is misleading. The quoted $3.88 was competitive with KBAF 8 miles to the west but they added a $15.00 ramp fee altho they said it was a landing fee on the invoice. They claimed they waived a $5.00 landing fee due to the fuel purchase. Friendly folks but KBAF is more aviation friendly with a full service restaurant and free hamburgers, hot dogs and popcorn and just as friendly line personnel.

Metro Air has some of the best prices around, but on day two of turning out of there got hit with a 5 dollar landing fee. Was told it was just instituted the night before. The turn was great, people were super nice but call first if you are concerned about the landing fee. There is no food on the premises but the Metro Air folks generously offered a ride (we ended up not going out).
