Heidi was very helpful at Western Cardinal. There's a great pilot shop and FBO, and the fuel is the cheapest around. A very nice stop, with plenty of tie-downs on their ramp.

Stopped by for the weekend of 6/23-24, and Western Cardinal provided excellent service as always. I tried to book a Hertz car through Hertz's website, but the site said all cars were already booked. I called Western Cardinal the night before we arrived, and they quickly secured a Hertz car for us, which was waiting when we arrived. The fresh cookies on arrival were also a nice touch. When we departed, the nice lady stayed late so we could access Western Cardinal's bathrooms before departure. Then we filled up with inexpensive avgas ($5.40 self-serve). Note to pilots: If you depart after Western Cardinal's closing time and need a bathroom, there are nice clean bathrooms right next to the self-serve pumps at midfield. Anyhow, we'll be back!

Western Cardinal is a well-run professional organization that really focuses on customer service. I've RON'd there 3 times in the past 6 months and have always been impressed. Most highly recommended.

I landed CMA to meet a client and get fuel, I mentioned to the fueler at Western Cardinal I was thirsty and in a few minutes he brought me a couple sodas, this was above and beyond the call of duty for a line guy! Really nice people and they try hard to please. I would recommend them for sure.

Arriving in my little Skipper, I was treated courteously and professionally, which included a ride to my motel a few miles down the road. Great pilot shop with a lot of hardware...Like Aircraft Spruce but better showroom. Thank you very much, and I'll be back, when I'm back.

This is the second time we have used Western Cardinal and both experiences have been great. On this occasion we were getting in late on Saturday and with winds and vectoring we were not going to make their closing time. I raised them on their freq and they had no problem waiting for us to get. They knew we were coming and planned on staying until we arrived.

We spent the weekend of 4/16--4/17/11 with Western Cardinal. We had reserved a Hertz car at a really good rate, and the car was brought out to us by the WC staff before we'd even shut the engine down. (They were monitoring the tower frequency, heard us land, and brought the car out without us even asking, which was great.) Their pilot shop is huge -- one of the best I've seen. Their flight planning lounge is also comfortable and nicely designed. Be aware that they do close at 6 pm on Sundays, so if you need a bathroom pit stop before departing on a Sunday evening, you'll need to drive over to Avantair. However, WC will give you the gate code to access your aircraft. Note that self-serve fuel is near the control tower, not near WC's facility, but the price was great -- $5.19 on 4-17. When we return to CMA we'll definitely park with Western Cardinal again.

The Western Cardinal 100LL self-serve fuel pit at CMA is a great stop. Excellent prices, and everything worked! Overall CMA is a fine airfield, and the Waypoint Cafe, on the field, is a fine place to eat.

Terrific team. Called them up on short notice to help arrange a hotel and rental car. Christina was very responsive and professional. I arrived later than anticipated and Steve the lineman was waiting for us with rental car on the ramp. Great team with a down home personal touch. It is on the far east side of the airport, so be patient with the taxi time. It is worth it!

I have had nothing but the best experience with these first class group of folks. Fair and reasonable fuel pricing and they even delivered a package to Santa Barbara on a moments notice for one of the passengers. We will definitely be back to Western Cardinal.

The Air BP Self Serve is located on the ramp just a bit South of taxiway Bravo. It is Air BP so use your Air BP CC and you get a 5% rebate. Great airport but can be busy.
