I flew to Waco for some supplies after Hurricane Ike. The guys at Servion were friendly and helpful. One line guy helped me load supplies in my plane. It was an easy in and out with plenty of runway to spare. Good stop in the Waco area.

We diverted here for weather and had an unexpectedly good experience. Friendly greeting, crew car, and directions to Amigos on Crest Street. Very good food, authentic local dive sort of place for the college. President Bush travels through here on his way to the Crawford ranch, and there is AF1 and other memorabilia at the FBO. The tower actually recommended the restaurant, and it was apparent it was a friendly but highly efficient training environment. High-speed jet military traffic frequents the area so stay sharp.
