Based on the old reviews, and an incorrect fuel price on another site, I decided to stop at KCQA. I guess the guy Max everyone talked about wasn't working. Unfortunately the kid working never was able to leave the office to get away from whatever he was doing on his personal computer. I don't know his name because I had NO interaction with him. There is no AWOS at the airport and the numerous radio calls on the UNICOM went unanswered. I can see why since the radio in the main area was turned down (I guess not to interrupt the kid and his computing) who of course, was sitting in the other room. Lesson learned here, unless this Max guy is there DON'T GO!

As it says on the door, "squawk VFR" on the keypad to enter. If you're fortunate, good guy Max will be there. Max helped me refuel, then moved my Beech 33A to tiedown via tug, and tied it down securely. Nice friendly airport.

Great "Mom & Pop" airport with friendly and helpful folks and reasonable fuel. On arrival, Max was good conversation and great help too. Inside, there's a weather computer and all you need for a good stop.

Easy to use self serve fuel, two courtesy cars available, and helpful line staff. Great little airport. Town is only 6 minutes away for food and lodging.

Good self-serve fuel stop that got me out of a bind when I landed at another airport right after they closed. Nice terminal building with computer for weather checks, snacks and other goodies.

Fantastic experience at CQA. Called ahead to ask about a rental car for the weekend, and was told that the local Enterprise had closed down and the nearest cars were 40 miles away in Lima - but Scott immediately offered the use of one of their crew cars for the full weekend - and a hangar to boot! Great fuel price too. Thanks Scott!

Great place to stop for fuel.. Check out the sites.. The manager is great, he will let you have the car all day. Drive around the Lake and there are many places to eat..

Stopped for fuel on our way to Oshkosh. Fun people and great fuel price. Located on the SW corner of a beautiful lake. Would like to come back just to explore.

Excellent Airport! Friendly helpful staff, nice facilities and some of the cheapest gas in the country! Highly recommended!
