I called to check out fuel price and ramp fee. Sandy was really nice and helped me arrange car and hotel for a long weekend. Fantastic service!

Unpretentious small town style hospitality in the middle of the big city. Specifically want to name Troy of the afternoon shift guys for setting us up with a temporary home base for our Citation. I found Magellan to have the best prices, and what I really liked was the experience of the line staff. I felt very comfortable handing over the jet to a group of guys who safely handled it with maturity. While other FBO's may only care about the celebrity visitors, at Magellan YOU are the celebrity.

Watched us on Flightaware... The had a follow me cart ready as we turned off the runway. They had the rental parked 5 feet from where my wingtip ended up being. The line guys were super friendly and made everything easy. Leaving was the same thing. Went into office (plane was already fueled) and handed keys to rental and while in there realized we had forgotten to get batteries for the headsets (which they gave us free). All this service and we're in a light single. Well Done! We will be back to see them.

Flew in for lunch and a meeting with a customer there in a Diamond DA40 on 31Aug2010. Mentioned to tower while on final that I'd be going to Magellan and line person was waiting near A5 with the cart and led me to a parking spot. Asked for a fill up which was done by the time we returned a few hours later and the price was exactly as stated on AirNav, and was the cheapest full serve 100LL on the field. No ramp or tiedown fees, clean restrooms, saw coffee and iced tea available inside. If someone is picking you up, they have to follow the road around almost to the end then get buzzed in through a security gate, or you have to get the code from the desk to exit the pedestrian gate and walk out to meet them. Was a little confusing but maybe they'll have a better scheme when they move into their new facility, which they say is basically done but still waiting on some interior work to get finished. Good people and they enjoy handling small planes.

Flew in for a long weekend and with low clouds forecasted, Magellan made a great alternative to Oceanside. Because of Magellan, Palomar is now my pick for CAVU weather days as well. Very competitive 100LL price compared to other San Diego County airports and wonderful/knowledgeable customer service as well. Called ahead to set up a rental car and before we pulled off of the runway we saw their golf cart waving us in. Only drawback was the 20-minute wait for Enterprise to show up with the car (both Magellan and Enterprise were embarrassed car was not waiting there for us, and gave us a premium upgrade for our standard rental.) Renting through the local hertz office saved us $60 per day on a standard compared to other on field rentals. Cannot say enough good about the experience. There is no minimum fuel requirement to waive one night's tie down fee but no allowance for multiple nights for more fuel.

Pleasant, low-key FBO at CRQ. Don't seem to exclusively cater to big corporate jets like all the other FBO's at CRQ... And great fuel prices!

A rental car was waiting on the ramp when I arrived. Airplane was fueled when I arrived to drop the car and depart on the following day. It was Saturday, so only one line guy was on duty but the service was fast and friendly. Overnight parking fee was waived with the reasonably priced fuel purchase.
