Full marks to Dianna, Daniel, and Terrmel. All was as it should be: reasonable fuel costs, ride to the hotel, quick, courteous service and a safe place for the plane. Thanks to all.
From Ted Louis Glenn on 01-Jul-2017

Stopped here last weekend to meet another aircraft for a dog transport. Plane was refueled quickly, the counter person brought out water and a dog treat, and didn't bat an eye when the dog had an accident (my passenger did mop it up). Fresh coffee was nice too.

Stopped in for a fuel stop traveling back to Texas from California in our Grumman Tiger. Without a doubt the most professional FBO I have ever experienced. Extremely windy when we landed and as soon as we taxied in two uniformed lineman greeted us and promptly tied down the plane, put chocks on the mains, and put safety cones around the tie down area. The FBO facilities are beautiful and service provided by the young lady at the counter was friendly and gracious. We used the courtesy car to get an early dinner and then the FBO dropped us off at our hotel and picked us promptly the next morning when we called. Everyone we came into contact with at Francis Aviation was top notch. If you have the chance to stop in you will be impressed.

On a recent trip from Florida to California and back I stopped here twice in my piston single. This was easily the best FBO of all that I visited. The service was above expectations and the facility the same. It was super windy when I landed the second time. The prop had barely stopped turning when three line men rushed to tie down, chock and secure the plane before I even opened the door.

Arrived March 18. Very friendly and professional personnel. Nice facilities with large hangar and an attractive lobby. The gal behind the counter cheerfully helped with rental car and hotel reservations while I attended to the plane. Very nice museum on the airport property, with an amazing display of aircraft, many with actual war history. Highly recommended stop over.

Stopped to fuel up and get lunch. Staff was so nice I didn't want to leave. Pilot lounge was quiet and very comfortable, and they were quick to loan us a courtesy car. I will defiantly stop again.

Arrived early last Saturday in my little Cherokee where I filled my tanks at the very easy to use self serve. As I was staying several days I taxied over to the FBO where I was met by two very energetic line guys who got me tied down and helped my son get into the line so I could unload. Then I went inside where I met Casey. I cannot say enough about how special this young lady is. She should teach a class in customer service. In no time and after some playful joking I had a plan to get my "tactical tan Fiat" rental car" the following day and was on my way. As my son lives close this will not be my last visit to 5T6 and Francis Aviation.

Great stop! Self-serve is about midfield near the museum but the FBO is at the north end. Friendly folks and courtesy car with directions to Penny's Diner!

My wife and I flew a Cirrus SR22 Turbo from Scottsdale AZ (KSDL) to Lakeway TX (3R9 - Austin) over this 4th of July holiday. We planned a stop at 5T6 for fuel on our way there and decided to eat our lunch we packed in their FBO. They have a very nice little breakroom inside with tables and a kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator) available for all. The service from the linemen for Fuel was spectacular. We took our time but you could easily do a 15 minute turnaround here if were inclined. The staff inside, the amenities and rest rooms were all top class. We enjoyed our first stop so much we stopped there again today coming back from Austin TX. Same fantastic experience. The FS 100LL is about $.40/gal more than the self-serve and in my opinion, worth every penny. Thanks for the great service and see you again on future flights.
