I had this airport in my flight plan on returning from Denver, but after seeing the fuel prices are at least $1 per gallon more than other area airports (OTM), I figure that Des Moines does NOT want small GA traffic. I'll go elsewhere.

It's hard to imagine how an FBO could be friendlier or more helpful. Our experience was great. We needed to wait out some weather in Chicago. Without a reservation, we were cheerfully given a near new Ford Fusion to go to a restaurant. The staff gave my kids paper and crayons to play with. The new facility is beautiful with good planning rooms. Strongly recommended. Thank you to the staff!

Flew in for a quick in and out...Marshaled me in, no problem with getting a crew car, and I was on my way. Picked up a hat at the gift shop to sport their name a little to my fellow fliers. Counter personnel were top notch.. Friendly, knowledgeable, and just overall a pleasure to deal with. Will be back for sure next time I'm at DSM

These guys are amazing. I was recently stuck here while enroute from Minneapolis to central Missouri. I waited around for 5 hours before deciding on a hotel room. They let me take a car (free of charge) to get dinner, had a pilot's lounge with amazing chairs for catching a little nap, found me a hotel room and made sure I was all taken care of. There is a $10 ramp fee if you don't buy gas, but it was well worth it for the exquisite level of service.

Lets just say this; when ever possible I will include an Elliot Aviation airport in my flight plan. I'll even go a little out of the way to do it. I've never had a bad experience. Thanks guys for being there.

Superior service, new facility, and 4 new crew cars. There is a handling fee/minimum fuel purchase for most planes now, but you get value for what you pay.

Flew into DSM on short notice, stopped at Elliot. First class facilities and service. Tara was exceptionally helpful, pleasant and had us on our way in no time in a crew car. I wish every FBO was as pleasant to fly into and had a Tara to greet you.

My first time at KDSM heading west. Excellent service at Elliott - my RV-6 was parked immediately and tied down by a very helpful ramp worker and then they gave me a ride to my hotel. No complaints:-)

Flew in with my 172, ground controllers were very nice. Got the "Turn left on taxi way Elliott should be out there waiting on you" and sure enough there was a linemen guiding me in. Took our entire luggage to the desk and tied it down at no extra charged. Requested a heated hangar but was very expensive. So I opted for a preheat the next morning. Had 6 crew cars and all of them were reserved so we had to rent on (only $50.00). Nice pilot lounge.

First time into Des Moines! Great service at Elliott - we were parked immediately and tied down by a very helpful ramp worker. No charge for 1-night parking, and the lobby was very nice - can't wait to see the new hangars. Given the great level of service, I expect we'll be back soon!

Excellent service. Even though they were handling three incoming turbine aircraft, they treated our little Skyhawk like one of the big boys and had us refueled, oiled and the windshield cleaned before I could even unload our baggage.

Stopped in again mid March. Service hasn't changed one bit. But the how can you improve on excellence. Sent a fax the morning of our arrival and they responded before we left home. They had the rental car ready when we arrived and the line service not only unloaded the luggage from the plane but also loaded it in the rental and had the car pulled around front and warmed up when we were ready to go. One of the best places we stop at and always stop there when in DSM.

I had not been to DSM for several years. Stopped in for fuel on 12/12 & 12/13. Did my fuel order right on to the gallon. I appreciate this accuracy. The Elliot lobby is fine however, good WX terminals and Internet. The counter service was efficient, however the young woman at the counter could have been a bit more cordial. Easy to get in and out of DSM with good radar service and instrument approaches.
