We diverted to Ashland due to cloud cover over West Virginia and purchased fuel on our way to Washington D.C. We visited with the staff and locals while we were waiting for the fog to lift. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the fuel prices were very reasonable.

Don't go there hungry. No snack machines. Nice airport. Good service. Pulled up to the self-serve pump and the line guy pulled up in the fuel truck and just filled us up himself at no extra charge.
Response from Airport Operations Center, Ashland Regional Airport Snacks are once again available at the front desk. There is also a dairy bar several blocks down the street.

Nice airport. Several buildings have gotten new paint and furniture within the last year. Rental C-172 with new paint and interior. Full line service some standard, but self-serve pumps for after-hours arrivals.

Nice airport, and friendly staff. I was told they no longer have a courtesy car.

Very friendly and helpful staff here. No one on the Unicom but parked at the pumps and was filled right away. They had the airplane moved for me before I could get back out there. Nice clean facility.

Looked like a SS pump, but the young lady working the line filled up the plane for us and then pulled it around in front of the office/lounge area. Friendly folks, good flight planning area w/computer wx and room to spread charts. Would certainly stop again.

Great airport! 10 to 1 better service, prices, and accommodations than Huntington. Airport Manager great. Lady on the line service great.

Fantastic approach whether straight down the river, or in the pattern. This is a very special airport. Taxi to the pumps and very friendly line folks will have you fueled in no time. Once fueled, they will tow your plane closer to the office. I just can't say enough good words about this airport. Put this on your fuel stop short list.

Friendly folks running the place. They will tug your plane to the self-service pump, which is helpful in minimizing hot starts. There is a first class hotel downtown that will come to get you. I chose the stop based on fuel price, as luck would have it the price went up 10% the day I arrived! No regrets.

Have very fond memories of this airport that go back many years when Ashland Oil used to have it’s fleet stationed here. In fact, my enthusiasm for aviation can be said to have started right here. Glad it is still maintained and managed well.
