I have been flying into ECP since the day it opened and without exception my experience with Sheltair has been outstanding. The line supervisor (Jack) has never failed to provide 100% professional, top notch, line service and is always ahead of the game. He expects this from all of his line crew and they have never failed to make me look good to my passengers. When Jack's not there Dustin makes sure that everything gets taken care of too. If all FBOs shared this attention to detail my job would be a whole lot easier. They are friendly too. Great job guys!

Stopped in for the weekend (nephew's wedding). I have never commented on service before (good or bad) but due to the stellar service by Jack and Crystal I felt compelled to send this in. Upon arrival Jack was at the plane (C-172) welcoming me and tying me down before I could open the door. Rental car to plane, help with bags, fuel discount with fill-up. Outstanding service and experience. Thanks Jack and Crystal!!!

Staff and facilities are second to none. Always attentive, friendly and efficient. Yes it costs a little more for fuel, etc... But they have to pay their bills too. The airport is not in town or on the beach so plan accordingly for ground transportation.

William, Josh, Dave, and Crystal work very well together, and remember to have fun! I enjoy visiting FBOs where the crew cuts up with the customers a little. These are neat folks. They hustle like they should, and treat me like an old friend.

The staff is GREAT! You cannot exit the property if you fly in after hours. They have a punch pad coded gate, but it is chained and padlocked. You have to call them out ($100) to get out. Don't really understand Sheltair's thinking behind that.

Hard to imagine a better stop. Easy in and out, fast friendly service, and a great facility. No difference on the level of service based on aircraft type. I saw how the treated the two Citations that came in after me. Highly recommend a stop if you are in the area!

I flew in for a night to visit family and the experience was great. It was late and the lineman tied the a/c down and topped it off quickly. Gas price is high, but the top-off discount was larger than I expected. The facility is brand new and waiting for my ride was comfortable. The airport is not on the beach, but close enough to get where I needed to go. I will return.

On 8/12 we flew in as a lifeguard flight in our helicopter. I requested a quick turn in order to reposition over to the hospital while we were 5 minutes out. This was accomplished in less than 8 minutes! Absolutely amazing.

When I arrive at SheltAir I have always experienced friendly and professional service by all employees. The line guys are courteous and get things done (can do attitude). The first time I went to SheltAir, Jack Smit made me feel like I knew him for years. Everyone I have interacted with has put the customer first. An old saying comes to mind, It's not when you get into the business, it's when the business gets into you, and the employees at SheltAir are into the business of quality service.

Had to divert here because of weather. However, it was a great stop. Line guys were friendly and professional. While there, another storm cell passed over. However, when I got back to my plane (Cherokee 6X), it had been tied down and secured. Great service and friendly folks. We'll be back.

Just went up there to visit new Grandbaby. I fly an experimental, so not much fuel needs. Line guys were on the ball, personally directed to parking, greeted and helped. Tie down fees and fuel as advertised, but no ramp fees. Temp trailers adequate for now, into new building next week. Free Internet, they put down their lunch to run us to the main terminal so family could pick us up easier. No complaints, no surprises. Hopefully this will continue in this groove and keep the service up. Highish fuel cost only profit from small aviators like me who buy 15 gals max. Not bad, will be back.

Kept our single engine Piper there overnight last night and had a very good experience. Gas was $5.89 a gallon after $.50 discount - cheaper than my home airport, parking is $12 per night. They took my wife to commercial terminal to pick up a rental car there - 1/2 of SheltAir and let us bring on ramp to unload plane. Line guys even retied my 3 poor tiedown rope knots. I'll be back.

On 09JUN2011 I flew into KECP for the weekend in a piper warrior. Fuel prices were a little high however, there is a discount if you top off of $.50 per gallon. Their temporary facility is well equipped and has all the amenities of any of their regular facilities. I will be a return customer of KECP and can't wait till the new SheltAir facility opens

On June 11, 2011, I was traveling to ECP to pick up my daughter who was arriving on a commercial flight. I wanted to fly down and pick her up rather than drive from Dothan, Alabama. After reading the scary comments here I gave SheltAir a call to inquire about their fees. I told them I would be making a short stop, needed no services or fuel and asked what the ramp fees would be for my King Air B200. They quoted me $125.00. The four hour round trip drive wasn't that bad after all. I strongly suggest calling ahead of time to confirm their fees lest you be surprised.

Last week, I landed at this airport with my family in our King Air for a few days in Panama City, and left disappointed in this new FBO. The first issue was that this new airport is in the middle of nowhere. The old airport was much closer to Panama City. Secondly, for a remote Class D airport, it is exceedingly expensive. The FBO is charging Class B airspace prices for fuel ($6.60/gal for JetA), Ramp Fee ($70) and tie down fee ($50 per night for a twin). This is not even close to a Class B FBO facility. The FBO is a doublewide trailer. They have no hangar space. They had the ramp torn up for service, so we had to carry all our gear (family of 5) to the vehicle and back. I asked several times to speak with the Sheltair GM (Mike Lerma) who never called me back. Bottom line: I would avoid ECP. Destin is nicer airport with completed facilities, lower prices and equal proximity to all the beaches in the area. We will definitely go to Destin next.

$7.21/gallon? Really? You won't see me going anywhere near there. I generally don't wish ill upon aviation businesses, but this will cause me to make an exception. The relocation of what used to be a fantastic GA and commercial airport, right next to downtown Panama City and only 20 minutes from the beach, to a swamp in the middle of nowhere, shutting down all competition and jacking prices to the moon? I've never seen gas more expensive anywhere ... Napa, Glacier Park, Jackson Hole, heck, even San Francisco has cheaper gas. This is completely astonishing.

After reading some of the less than positive reviews for SheltAir I decided to call ahead for pricing. We were told that the only fees we would be charged for 4 nights would be a $12 per tie down fee. We could not have picked a better place to stop. They are building a new facility since this is a new airport but the hospitality was 1st class from everybody at SheltAir. We had 4 days of beautiful weather and good golf. SheltAir even offered to return our car to the Hertz counter and they charged us exactly what they promised!

Took a Seminole in for an overnight with some Spring Break fun and had a good experience. The temporary FBO is very nice and well equipped, beware though that the beautiful new airport is located in the swamp and has no cell phone reception. Because of this, we couldn't get our planned ride to the airport, but the desk staff connected us with a good cab and rate at the Hampton Inn. Would use them again.

Flew into Northwest Florida Beaches Intl Airport (What a name) on 31 Aug 2010 and stopped at the only FBO there. Very friendly and professional staff, crew car was nice and well maintained, a not to far of a drive to Panama City Beach. No landing fee, which is a plus for now, definitely will have to visit again when the building is complete. Thanks guys!

I flew my Seneca II into ECP for the first time this weekend and had a great experience. The airport is brand new, so there is much construction still going on (FBO is in a temporary trailer). Great location for the FBO - taxi to the last turnoff and you run right into it. The service was great. It was raining very hard when we arrived and the line guy ran in and came out with an umbrella for my px's. Fuel is a little pricey, buy waived the tiedown fees with purchase. I would recommend it. The tower was very courteous & helpful with a hairy approach in terrible weather.

Really nice FBO. The desk staff and line crew have always been professional, helpful, courteous and friendly. They have my car at the wing with the AC on and help with the bags. They are now in a doublewide trailer awaiting construction on a new FBO. There have been a few minor problems after the move, but the manager, Scott Daniluk, is very accessible and anxious to make things right. Fuel is a bit expensive, but not out of line for a major airport and they always waive a night with fuel. They close at 10PM which can be a bit of an issue if I am running late, but I am hoping that the increased traffic will prompt them to stay open longer in the future. Overall a class act.

SheltAir has moved to KECP. Came in over the 4th weekend and they are not ready for service. They had more than 40 planes from Challengers to C152's wedged into the small ramp. The FBO is a trailer and the area surrounded by sand piles to keep out swamp water. I hope I can get out. On the positive side, the line crew was the most efficient and hard working I ever saw..... And the ECP runway is long and wide. Just make sure you update your database so you can find it.
