Flew the family in here for a week of skiing at Snowshoe. Great little airport with great people. They offered to plug the airplanes pre-heat in the night prior to our departure, and made sure we were taken care of from arrival to departure. Also got a great deal on a minivan from the Hertz guy right there on the field. We won't hesitate to return to Elkins.

Landed here on Saturday 12/12/2009. Fueled up, price very reasonable, nice facility. I would definitely fuel here again. Michael Fielding, one of the CFI's at the flight school was there and actually helped me fuel. Thanks Michael!

The Elkins Remote Airport Advisory is remoted from the Flight Service Washington Hub in Ashburn, VA. The voice you hear on the radio is over 100 miles away.

Fuel was $4.10/gal not the 3.80 on AirNav. Sunday at 10AM no one in sight, self-service fuel worked OK. Should have gone to W22.

Airport sits in a valley so be careful going in or out at night. Nobody there. Girl gave us an airport advisory but she was nowhere to be seen when we landed. Self serve fuel, which is about all we needed.
