About Cutter Aviation Founded in 1928, Cutter Aviation is America's oldest continually family-owned FBO and aviation service company. In operation for over 80 years, Cutter Aviation operates at eight major airports in the Southwestern United States. Cutter locations in Arizona (Deer Valley and Phoenix Sky Harbor), New Mexico (Albuquerque) and Texas (Dallas Executive, McKinney, El Paso and San Antonio) and Colorado (Colorado Springs) provide a wide range of services to transient and based aircraft including fuel and FBO service, maintenance, avionics, new and pre-owned aircraft sales and charter and aircraft management.
The Phoenix, Deer Valley, Albuquerque, and Dallas Executive facilities are full-service, fixed-base operations, with El Paso, McKinney and Colorado Springs providing line services for transient aircraft. San Antonio provides new and pre-owned aircraft sales as well as maintenance.
Looking Back Continuously family-owned for eight decades, the company originated as Cutter Flying Service Inc., in Albuquerque. William P. Cutter envisioned a business that would serve the fledgling aviation community - and the resulting enterprise exceeded his expectations. The company survived the Great Depression, and, at the outbreak of World War II, became major pilot training facility for the military. In 1947, the company began its long-standing affiliation with Beech Aircraft Corporation. Since that time, the Cutter name became, and continues to be, synonymous with major and emerging aircraft brands ranging from piston singles to light and medium turbine aircraft.
Looking Ahead Over the years, Cutter has maintained a position of leadership in the general aviation community by consistently expanding its services and its locations. Cutter Aviation, Inc., opened its Phoenix operation in 1959. The El Paso facility opened in 1982, Deer Valley followed in 1997, San Antonio in 1998, Dallas in 2002, and McKinney and Colorado Springs in 2006. Cutter remains strong due to an unwavering commitment to customer service, customer and employee satisfaction, and business practices rooted in our core values of respect, trust and integrity.
Company President Will Cutter reinforces this: "These are key ingredients to a formula that has kept us at the forefront of the industry. They have helped us establish a reputation that we are all proud of. Our values have served us well for eighty years, and without them, Cutter would be just another run-of-the-mill service station for airplanes."

Was in a big rush to catch flight (they bumped dep time up 2hrs without notice). Called ahead asking for help. Staff at Cutter met me at the plane with a car open, running, with driver ready and whisked us off to the terminal. Fantastic assistance and wonderful demeanor. Thanks, Cutter folks! Made the flight!

By far the most outstanding service I have ever had at an FBO. The fuel price is worth the stop. Free papers, wifi, fast and courteous service, courtesy cars/drop off service. Cutter is always a cut above the rest whenever I stop in at one. Definitely my favorite!

They found me a hotel room and shuttled me over. The fuel order was completed before I left so I was able to take care of the bill right away and not have to worry about it in the morning. The next day one of the line persons carted my luggage over to the plane.

I've used Cutter flying into ELP frequently and their service is exceptional and outstanding every visit. Their staff is helpful and they always have plenty of linemen to park and fuel aircraft. Every FBO should look to them for doing things the "right" way.

Had a great experience! We arrived 2/25 unannounced and were promptly greeted. They had a fresh batch of Tea and cookies in the lobby, and even gave us a 50cent discount on fuel for it being the weekend on a Friday afternoon. I only wish that Cutter at DVT were half as good as this one!

Stopped there three times in a King Air in 2010. The place is very professionally run. The fuel truck pulls up as we shut down and we are on our way fast.

We were treated very nice by Cutter personal. They got us a wonderful hotel close by and ferried us both ways. This is a first class operation even though were not a corporate jet.

Wow. I thought a lot of the reviews were a bit over the top. Cutter exceeded my expectations. Parked me right next to the building, gave me a ride to my motel which was 15 mins away AND were there at 6:30am the next morning to bring me back, (no charge) and gave me 20 cents off on fuel. I guess I could have saved a few dollars on fuel somewhere else but would have cost lots for the cab I didn't have to take. Service was exceptional.

Cutter ELP is great. Was there in a 172 and got the same attention as I would have in a jet. Got a good hotel through Cutter at a good price, then a ride to the hotel also. Decent price for fuel too, given the location. On a side note, ELP approach was great in fitting us in with the SWA jets and getting us on the ground with impending weather close by.

I have one personal rule: stop at Cutter whenever there is one available. No matter what the airport or plane, Cutter's staff is attentive and immediate with a rental car, a ride to lunch or a hotel, I am always pleased. KELP was no exception last week. Rock star parking, rental car brought to the plane with no prompting, great directions to a terrific Mexican restaurant. My dad, seeing the amazing service, started asking me if I didn't slip the line guy a fifty or something. But it was entirely the opposite: No one "hung around" like a bellboy waiting for a tip -- everyone was phenomenal. I will be back!

Without doubt this is one of the nicest stops we have ever made. We landed there on May 14th and had such a positive experience we actually went out of our way on the trip home to stop again on May 23rd. Joe met us immediately, grabbed our luggage, tied the plane down, and gave us tips on restaurants and hotels while we gathered our stuff. Joe then drove us to the hotel and could not have shown us more outstanding hospitality. Becky at the desk offered a weekend fuel discount and made a hotel reservation for us. We LOVE this FBO and will make it a point to stop anytime we are in the area!

The fuel price almost scared me away, but needed convenience of being sure to be able to get rental car on weekend. Met by follow-me cart. Very courteous lineman parked us and helped with luggage. The ladies at the desk were especially helpful. They shuttled us to a restaurant and then to the terminal and finally to our hotel. Great experience that caused us to choose Cutter at our next stop in PHX.

I had stopped at Cutter 3 years ago and was very pleased. I was there today in a 172 and the quality of service was still excellent. Nice facilities, shuttle to your hotel and back, linemen are very courteous and knowledgeable about aircraft. Joe was really helpful. Also, great coffee! I wonder if I'll receive a "Thank you for coming in” card like last time, signed by all there personnel, that was a nice touch ... Anyway, highly recommended. I would stop by again.

Cutter has moved to a new facility a little further east, away from the airline terminal. Everything shiny and new of course, but it's Cutter's people that make them better. I called fifteen minutes out on their ARINC frequency, asked the nice lady for someone to handle two minor repairs and fueling when I arrived. Cutter crew member Joe brought his screw drivers and super glue as requested on arrival and fixed both with a smile, pronto for our quick turn back out of there to Las Vegas.

I just want to comment that Cutter Aviation at El Paso is one the top spots that we go to. The people are very friendly, and they give you very good services. I recommend you go and visit Cutter Aviation at El Paso. That’s why every time we fly somewhere we always look for a Cutter Aviation FBO, and that’s also why we've started to use Cutter at KCOS (Colorado Springs)

Stopped at KELP on 05/08 for about an hour to fill up on fuel and get some lunch. Everyone was extremely friendly and provided excellent service. They took us to a local restaurant and waited there in the van while we ate. A special thanks goes to the line service guys J.R. And Joe.

I have flown to KELP several times a month for over a year. The guys that work the line are very friendly and helpful. The CSR`s at the front desk have taken care of all my hotel needs, car rentals, etc...... If you are visiting the area, contact Annie Moreno. She keeps a calendar that list local activities and special events that will keep you entertained while your there.
