I stopped here on a Cross Country because I had been told that there was an excellent restaurant, but there was no one around, and no indication where I could find the "Best Burgers Around". So I wandered around the ramp for about 30 min. And then left.

The nice folks at Shawano Flying Service flew me up to Lakewood to photograph Island Lodge. It worked out very well and now I know a friendly down-home FBO for my next visit to northeast Wisconsin.

I have been to 3WO twice this year. Nice and simple with very nice people. The Launching Pad across the road has the best burgers I have ever had. When visiting, I always have time for lunch. Good fuel price (even cheaper with cash) and fantastic lunch across the road make this stop a winner.

Nice group of guys. Very helpful. No airport car however several food places within walking distance. Fuel is cheaper if you bring cash.
